When Clark and the other Phantoms (along with Rya) escaped from the Phantom Zone they all fell through space and earth's atmosphere, leaving a crater in their wake. For some reason when Lois was sent back, she just suddenly re-appeared on earth.
They could have easily gotten around this had Lois just been possessed before she went through the portal.

Perhaps this could be explained by it being a different portal. Maybe Zor-el builds his save-my-children-in-the-unlikely-event-that-they-get-stuck-here portals better than Jor-el does.

I agree. Kara said that Zor-El built a portal for her, so maybe that was the one they used. The thing about what Kara said is that the portal that Lois and Kara went to was exactly like the one from Zod, so it makes you wonder if it's the one that Zor-El created.

I was wondering the same thing myself. I think Clark and the others that came out of the Zone were super powered so when they came to earth, they would make a crater. When Clark hit the ambulance he made a bigger impact than a normal person. Maybe a human would make a different landing from the Zone.

I thought it was pretty clearly shown on the show that it was her portal instead of Clark's. She had to give him her blood so he could open it and everything.

Yeah. It was a different portal so there's obviously going to be a different transportation method.
Zor-El had his portals to Earth, so he probably built one to get Kara there. Clark's portal might have just been throwing him back out roughly where he came in.

but Clark was taken into the PZ at his barn. when he came back he didn't land there.
He was sent hurtling into space from the ring Zod had. Might have just been how they decided to show it, but it did look different from both Bloodline and S4 finale.

Both portals should have made craters. Perhaps it is not the portal but the fact that Lois is human and Clark was not. Last time the phantoms that escaped all had super-powers.

I thought that Chloe brought them back by using her Braniac abilities on the Crystal...? That would explain the difference in re-entry methods.
Chloe brought Clark and Kara back. Lois and Faora went through the portal.

Good Lord, I shouldn't post on this board late at night, lol. No idea what I was talking about.

If someone threw Clark up in the air and he landed on his face, what would happen to the ground? Lois is like 2 pounds, compared to Clark's strength
