I am pleased with how this ended up, considering I feared there would be no original backstory to the character. I would have preferred it if they hadn't had Zod create him, but it's an interesting idea, so I'll accept it. But question:
How did Zod and Faora get their 'son' on Kal El's ship? They had time to put the 'genetic material' on the ship? They were tried and put in the phantom zone and had their bodies stripped of them, when would they have done this?

And: Could Doomsday be Sigeeth, the dragon entwined in the Kowachi prophecy? just a thought.

I'm thinking that maybe they programmed Brainiac to do it. In Apocalypse, he removed baby Kal-El from his ship. He could have placed the "genetic material" then.

There is something that's been annoying me the whole day. I can live with the idea that Doomsday was created by Zod & Faora. However, there are several things that doesn't make any sense to me:

1. Faora told Davis that he was the spitting image of his father (Zod), which confuses me regarding the episode Prey. John Jones was involved in the investigation of the serial killings and had noticed that Davis Bloome had been the first at the scene of several of the murders, he also saw Davis in the Ace of Clubs. It's been made clear that John visited Krypton several times, so he must have encountered General Zod at some point. Wouldn't John have reacted on seeing a man, who is the spitting image of Zod?

2. Faora went looking for Davis, but why didn't Zod do that in the first episode of season six?

The Martian Manhunter didn't see a picture of Davis Bloome only that his name appeared over and over on the police reports. At the Ace of Clubs he was covered in blood and I couldn't really recognize him until Clark said his name. I don't even think Martian Manhunter saw him at the crime scene because Davis Bloome left right after Clark found him.

I think Zod had more important things to do then look for his son. He wanted to recreate krypton on earth.
