With Bloodline it made me realise that an overall storyline in the series has been the battle of Zod's family and the EL's. Season 1-4 Clark learned about his heritage so that didn't play into the story. Season 5 onwards he learnt about the rivalry between Jor-EL and Zod and how Zod destroyed Krypton. Braniac planned to release Zod and did until Clark sent him back. Braniac returned in season 7 and in Apocolypse tried to release Zod again. If Zod is alive is still unknown. Zod's wife Faora returned in season 8 to cause havoc. Now we learn that Doomsday is Zod's son. Doomsday was sent by Zod to destroy humanity. Clark was sent by Jor-EL to protect humanity. We learnt that this season is building up to one huge battle between bettween Doomsday and Clark. Zod's son and Jor-EL's son. I think this ongoing family battle and mythology is really awesome. What do you guys think?
