Phantom Zone Portal Question

The portal used to escape the Phantom zone looked different than the one used before when Clark escaped the zone. Kara seemed to imply that it was built just for her to escape, which is why I'm guessing that Kara offered Clark her blood to open the portal. I thought escape portals were set up so that anyone from the House of El could use them in case Jor-El's family were captured. So I'm wondering why wouldn't Clark's blood activate the portal as it did the last time?

my guess is that the brothers jor-el and zor-el didn't trust each other so they did not make their portals acessible to the others

I thought since she was already bleeding that he might as well use her blood.....but perhaps they have different portals and this one was her own. It did indeed look different.

yeah me too, i thought she meant that zor-el had created a portal for her making impossible for clark to use it himself.

yep... i think that zor-el made another portal!

but i thought jor-el made the portal to ALL the EL family! :confused:

It did look different and i agree with the above comments. Zor-El and Jor-El didn't trust each other surely they made separate portals.
