Did I miss it or do we not know the name of the son of Zod and Pharah? He could be called Phod.

Are you sure? That would be like naming my son Killer. Zof makes more sense.

Well Zod was Psychotic so it's appropriate.

Read the Wikipedia article on Doomsday. It explains how he got his name and what he was called beforehand.

when lois was the vessel for Zods wife, she said that they created it, and it atatched itself to Clarks spaceship. I'm wondering how that works out since Jor-El probably wouldn't send his son away without inspecting the ship, unless it was some kind of small bacterial matter that could could not be seen on the ship.
That would mean that when clarks ship landed, this creation fell off it and landed somewhere , either evolving into davis, or leaching onto davis at an early age (before 3) cause he said to Chloe he has no history on the first 3 years of his life, maybe this will explain smallvilles doomsday origin.
It says on wikipedia that he was created by another alien race that inhabited an early krypton, doomsday probably always looked like a creature, but he most likely evolved after multiple deaths to become the size and appearance he is in the comics. I don't think doomsday was ever human looking, so smallville has made this to be Zods/Faora's son and taking credit for creating him which is different. I think the storyline is interesting so far, and looking forward in seeing how this all works out. What doesn't make sense is if doomsday is pretty much the biggest threat to clark/earth then how come not Jor-El, Lionel, MM, Kara, or even Chloe (brainiac) mentioned about a big threat like doomsday, unless none of them figured he would ever be a threat, Zod must of know Jor-El was going to send Kal-El to earth and planned to attach doomsday to the ship, Faora spoke like this was planned out to have him on earth to fulfill his destiny. Interesting but i hope they use continuity and explain why important things like these weren't even briefly mentioned throughout the series.

Lionel Luthor: What's coming is so terrible!
From Season 7 Episode 15 Veritas to Clark Kent :)
Not an exact warning, but PS3 could add that Lionel was warning Clark about Doomy since Lionel's prophecy never came true in S7.

in the comics Zod's name is Dru-Zod and he has a zon named Lor-Zod who is born in the phantom Zone andeventually comes to earth and is adopted by clark kent and lois lane kent as Chris Kent So if we get a name for Zod's creation that is from any part of the comics I would say Lor-Zod would be the kryptonian name.

That would be interesting. Did Lor-Zod remain loyal to the Kent's or to Zod?

this season has me very interested. Doomsday created by zod and his wife. interesting way to start out. the two enemies sons face off... cool. keeping it in the family. and i do believe that Lionel's warning about "something so terrible" is doomsday. cuz that was the first thing i thought of when he told Chloe that. he was gonna tell Clark but never got the chance.

Actually if you think of it Lionel probably does know about, because he was the vessel for Jor-EL. So because Lionel has been telling Clark that something will happen then theres a really slite chance that he's talking about Doomsday. Jor-El couldn't have found out till after the ship had come alive. So maybe that could happen.

OK what I don't get is how Clark is ever going to face Doomsday when he hasn't completed his kryptonian training?

He's going to reason with him. Kind of the European approach.

I doubt he has one. Maybe the project was called "Doomsday" though.
optinox, I think Zod and Faora (and probably Brainiac) are the only ones who knew about DD.

Training? I think everyone is tired of shaking that tree when everyone else from krypton instantly knows how to use their powers after what, 10 minutes on earth? Clark hasn't mastered flight yet, though he's good at everything esle. It only took him 8 seasons!!:rotfl:

He still needs Chloe's help reading a blood chart. Gotta have that training.

He needs Chloe's help reading a blood chart because Clark isn't a doctor and he's not supposed to understand it. Even if he HAD gone through training. Chloe is a SUPERCOMPUTER. It makes sense he would go.
So please, people, leave the bloodchart thing alone!
As for training - he already started it. "Your training starts with Kara". Sound familiar to anyone?
The reason he hasn't mastered his abilities is more likely because he hasn't fully accepted his Kryptonian destiny.
So please, people, leave the training alone!

No
Dragging out the training seems to be like dragging out the Lana storyline. It died after hypnotizing pendant chick controlled Clark. They should have killed it there. Here they still want Clark not to be able to fly because he flies when he's Superman.

As much as I love SV if they can't progress the story line into flight and him being fully SM then it's time to shut it down.
