Why live in smallville?

I know the show is called smallville.
But they are both working in Metropolis.
Why live in smallville.
I thought smallville was hours and hours away from metropolis.
It makes no sense.

Kara obviously doesn't wanna live in Smallville if she's off looking for Kandor which may or may not exist..

I know what you mean,a three hour drive each way to and from work everyday is alot of stress.

Actually, I work with someone who lives in The Poconos (Pennsylvania) and comes to work everyday into Queens, NY (Airport). Thats at least 2 and half hours drive everyday. Lucky for him he works the midnight shift and avoids traffic.

It's funny that Lois is moving in with Clark, I mentioned about it (back in one of the episode forums in season 7) as a joke. I was being sarcastic. The horror is coming true! lol! lol! Seriously, these 2 dont have the chemistry that is needed for the show. I liked Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain playing Clark and Lois,they had more chemistry.

It was kinda a nice to see the Loft after such a long time. Its been a while and that Clark/Kara scene in the loft was great.

Well I'd say around the time he realised it was the Kryptonite making him sick, he also realised the K is turnin people into super powered psychos. So you know Clark gonna need to stick around to try and clean up that mess. Plus the family farm was his families main source of income, so it likely wasn't too easy to pick up and go.

But as for now? Its clear they wanna keep comin back to Smallville since its the title of the show.. but the folding Earth issue definatly stares you right in the face if you've watched every episode. Up until season 5 or 6 everyone but Clark had to fly to Metropolis.

Well, clark runs a farm and it takes him only 10 sec to get to metropolis. so i dont see a problem.

But Lois, Tess, Jimmy or any other co-worker at the DP doesn't know it, and it's just silly nobody asked him about that.
