I forgot his name, but the freak. When he touches her when they're at dinner, he sees that she knows everything about him. Yet if she knows everything, she would know what his power is.

Why would she have let him touch her then? I'm thinking that this is why she didn't let him shake hands with Clark.

She didn't let him touch Clark because she was just trying to get Clark out of there in a hurry. Lois knew the Meteor Freak had an ability, but she didn't know what it was. When he touched her hand and we saw her memories, we see her find his file on the flash drive and it says his abilities were classified. So Lois didn't know what he could do, she only knew he could do something.

.. i think she knew that his abilities were that of a memory theif ,
like if you rewatch the scene ,
you can see she only got Clark out of there cause of the handshake .
&& she didn't want him to steal her friend's memories .
- the side storyline was amazing though . ( y )

This confused me a bit actually. His abilities were classified so Lois wouldn't know what he could do. What confuses me is why she stopped Clark shaking Sebastian's hand? Why should she care if they shook hands? The music built up when they were about to touch, until Lois stopped it- it seemed to me as though Lois knew what he could do and didn't want him to see Clark's memories. But that doesn't make sense. I'm confused!

I loved the continuity, I always wondered what happened to the flash drive Lois stole (and why did she steal only one?)

Good job PS3

Lois didn't know about his abilities because if she did... I don't think she would have let him touch her hand. That explains why she thought everything was still fine when she was at dinner and was driven home.

When it was revealed that Lois knew about him my first thought was that she didn't let Clark shake his hand because of his meteor power. Although, if that was the case then why would Lois willingly let him touch her if she knew his powers? That is why I think it was just a coincidence that she decided to kick Clark out the second he wanted to shake Clark's hand.

She didn't know about his specific powers...On the flashdrive it said that, that info was classified..She did know that he was a MF and that he committed homicide...
Jade has a screencap of the computer screen Lois was looking at during the flashback...That shows it.

Excellent question!

She obviously didn't know his power. And I don't think she really consciously remembered anything about him. I never thought her rushing Clark out the door had anything to do with her knowing about this guy, just that she wanted Clark out of the way. Frankly I was surprised to see ppl posting that she KNEW about him ahead.

Then when they showed him reading her memory, I thought, oh, so she had the memory somewhere in the back of her head but couldn't bring it up to a conscious level, thus why she asked if they had met before, but she couldn't quite place him.....

Someone on another thread brought up another curiosity. She told Clark she didn't tell him she was really undercover for the sake of his protection, but then why would she have called him when an attacker was brandishing a gun?? It makes no sense. Unless.....
she made up the stuff about really being undercover AFTER the whole incident was all over with.

That's what my thoughts were when I first watched the episode.

At least that makes some sort of sense. :)
