I'm pretty sure Chloe just told your a$$ that you should give the world hope, and you were giving her a pissy look, now you tell Ollie that you got to thinking? Is that crazy or was there a hint in there that he meant he thought about what Chloe said.

No, Clark was looking at the scene and everyone's reaction when Oliver saved Jimmy and he was standing on the roof. So he probably did get to thinking, and if he was thinking about Chloe said, it's now Brainiac, so it was what Brainiac said. Although, I don't know why Brainiac would encourage Clark.

That was chloe that said that to him. It was Brainiac at the end.

Umm, as if Chloe hasn't done that too?

Last eppy she was so quick to defend her Isis clients then she went to Clark and said that she got to thinking and she realizes her faults.

And as for Clark, he just wasn't ready to accept that responsibility yet. Clark liked saving people and not being credited and he became accustomed to it because he did it so much in high school. People suggested that (saving people and being a hero) to him, but he neglected the offer. Now after seeing what their reaction will be, he got to thinking about what both Lana said (about Warrior Angel), John said (about being a miracle) and what Chloe said (when she gave her Jim Gordon speech).

I think it was after Clark saw Oliver in action and the bystanders reactions was when it REALLY hit home, IMO.

I liked Clark's hair a lot in this episode.

Clark can't help himself from being a hero, but is afraid of anyone finding out because someone he loves always gets hurt and that is why he is so hesitant to be seen. Now he is finally realizing having an alias might actually work.

He has rescued people lots of times before, but being a public figure is new. He was reluctant to go down that path, but is now open to it. Being a public figure is also a huge responsibility. He will have so many people putting their hope in him.

Exactly. As soon as I saw him looking around at the people in awe of The Good Samaritan I could tell that he understood that they needed a hero to give them hope. Chloe, Ollie, and the world could have told him that as much as they wanted. But as soon as he saw for himself, he was convinced. Clark was conflicted because he knows about how many have died because they learned of his secret.

I assume Braniac needs Clark to rebuild the fortress for some reason
