After an exciting, amazing episode with revelations and developments galore, I expected a cliffhanger to match up to it. The moment I saw Hiro and Usutu pop onto the screen, the momentum of everything that had come before it vanished, and I cringed as the painful "spirit walk" was once again reintroduced and Hiro became precognitive by eating hyena poo.

I'm seriously hoping that (1) Usutu also has the power to project his precognition onto others, thus making the paste nothing more than a stimulus, (2) Hiro gets a better storyline, or (3) one or both characters leave the show.

It would be a shame to see Hiro go, as he was one of my favourites in Season One...it's unfortunate that nobody seems to know how to write him properly anymore. Usutu is one of the worst characters that has ever been on the show, in my opinion, on the same level as Alejandro. I want him gone before he starts feeding paste to Peter and Sylar, ruining their storylines.

There's still hope for Hiro, I guess. They did redeem Matt's abysmal plot this week, so...

Hiro needs to get over his fear of using his power. If you dont want to change time, then dont get involved in everything that happens when you go back! Hiro is kind of useless if he doesnt use his powers. And freezing time should let him get out of any situation... and he never seems to get out of any situation he gets in.

Usutu is ok, but I think he's a little too knowledgable. Future painting only goes so far, he shouldn't be able to know everything. That's what was so great about Issac, he would create his paintings, but wouldn't know exactly what they meant.

because he was a strung out junkie that hadn't mastered his power yet.

I'm seriously hoping that (1) Usutu also has the power to project his precognition onto others, thus making the paste nothing more than a stimulusInteresting idea. Or maybe the poop paste directly makes the "bridging" possible in some way. ie. projection+poop paste=power sharing. Meaning projection alone doesn't give the power, neither does the poop paste on its own.

I'm not liking the Hiro/Usutu stuff either. Reminds me of last season when they had Hiro running around ancient Japan. I wasn't too into that plotline either...however once Kensei was revealed to be the mysterious Adam, that sort of redeemed that all I guess. Hopefully this season's cringe-worthy Hiro misadventure will be similarly redeemed.

What struck me as a little odd, was the fact that Hiro didn't start painting things on rocks. He just fell back. And why was African-Isaac talking about his path will be chosen for him. I think the pooppaste won't show Hiro the future but the past. The past he was not willing to see or know. But now he has no choice.

WEll.. Ututsu or whatever his name is ... no.. he isnt that exciting of a character, but I'm pretty sure he has his reasons for being there.. cause.. this show is pretty good with getting rid of un needed characters after they are done with them *cough Adam* (which totally sucks by the way) so I'm sure he will be gone as soon as they are done with him. And As for Hiro. When it comes to the main characters .. they tend to focus on certain characters for a while.. then on the others.. so I'm sure Hiros time will come soon. Don't think of him as pointless and dispensible yet.. I'm sure he'll have his time. Like you said.. they did redeem Matt's story. Which.. by the way .. I'm so loving.. cause I love Daphnee/Matt even if she is being a total backstabber right now.. you know she has a good heart.

Got a point there. Over time people abillites seem to improve. Matt, Clair, Hiro. Not sure how long Isacck had his abillity. It might have improved if Sylar did'nt kill him. He was a junkie like you said. I laugh last week when Hiro went back in time and got hit with the shovel the second time.

I think he's interesting. Because they just see the future, rather than affecting it and warning people *cough* Peter every season *cough* And much more interesting than just seeing a painted picture.

But the ending so called "cliffhanger" wasn't very interesting. Ando thought he was dead  Did he not see Hiros white eyes?! :rotfl:
