View Full Version : The Davis questions

Just had a few questions about Davis

1. Does he only collect dead bodies? I thought a paramedic was supposed to respond to accidents and emergencies and SAVE lives

2. Where is his partner? Forgive me if i'm wrong but I thought paramedics particularly those on ambulances worked in pairs. I mean who carries the other end of the stretcher when he needs to get it into the van?? Also who looks after the patient while he is driving the ambulance? Did I miss the pre-amble where it was explained that Davis' partner was killed in the line of duty and now he works alone as a renegade paramedic

3. Was Davis listening to police call outs in his ambulance? It sounded like he was responding to a police call - 'we have a 411 in so-and-so place'. What is a 411 anyway?

I'm sure there are more questions but that's all I could think up for now.

1. Well yeah, but they don't always get there in time. And when they do, sometimes the victims are beyond saving. But it does come across like he's not such a great paramedic...

2. I was wondering the same thing on Thursday! It dawned on me that he drives the ambulance and does everything himself. I noticed when Jimmy was in the ambulance with him. It was like "hey...that seat's usually empty!"

3. Don't you get it? You said it yourself. Davis Bloome: Renegade Paramedic. He's so radical, he listens to police scanners and goes out on calls on his own authority. ALL-NEW Davis Bloome: Renegade Paramedic this Thursday at 9/8 Central after an ALL-NEW SMALLVILLE on the CW!

Hmm... those are some good questions. I did find it kind of weird that he was appearing first on scene and checking it out almost like a police officer.

Sad thing is, I am so there.
1. That sounded like an easy excuse to Clark on why he had the morgue photos. He's actually supposed to help as well, like we saw him aiding Bette and Oliver.

2. Granted, it makes no sense for Davis not to have a partner. Someone could be dying in the back because he has to drive to the hospital. Yet having a partner would trump Davis' need to get naked and sleep in alleys. If he had a partner, someone would actually be saying 'Dude, I tried calling you at 1 to see if we could get an extra shift and you weren't there. Way to screw me over on buying something that will make my girl cry!"

3. Clark has a scanner. Davis must stay one ahead of his competition. (Kidding, I'm just kidding!) Honestly, I have no idea why he's taking orders from a scanner instead of his dispatcher.

Ha ha ha ha I better set my recorder, I don't want to miss that show :rotfl:

I just had a thought - maybe Davis is a necrophiliac, that would explain waking up naked next to dead bodies lol!

I was wondering how Jimmy was offered a ride-along by Davis? Wouldn't he need permission from his superiors to let someone ride shotgun???? I was once offered a ride-along in a police cruiser, but it had to pass the chief's/sergeant's scrutiny first.

I think this can all be explained by the above - Davis Bloom renegade paramedic, he takes orders from no-one - he calls the shots
Or maybe he got the relevant permission in offscreenville.
