i've always seen this show in Widescreen every episode but this past episode Prey was aired in the Dallas TX Area on the The CW channel 33 in Full Screen. this is the first time i've seen the show this way.
Was this just in the Dallas Area or was it every where and was this a one time thing. I noticed in the opening credits the title and the actors names were showing only part of it. i sure hope this was an mistake on The CW.
Smallville did not look good at all in Full Screen you lose alot of the show when its shown this way.
anyone else get this. Please response.
Thanks

Not sure, I watch it in HD so it's always widescreen. Even if the HD channel is out or I have to watch it on a time shift, the SD channel I watch plays the widescreen version in 4:3 format (black bars at top and bottom).
Sucks that the channel you had to watch it on just cropped off the sides to make it fit.

Funny you should mention this. Smallville still shows up in widescreen on my cable tv, but out of the blue, Saturday Night Live went to fullscreen and it was really obvious during the opening credits when half their names were cut off.

Smallville is one of the few shows that show up full screen on my widescreen TV, it's fairly annoying. I don't remember the past seasons being this way, so it seems to be new.

ThanksGlad to know I'm not the only "Dallasite" suffering from this problem. The CW's been broadcasting in FS for the last month or so on my TV. I called the local afilliate (KDAF-33), and they said it was displaying fine at their station.

Perhaps its something to do with your Cable provider? Maybe their not handling the widescreen signal properly? Sounds kinda funny to me

You know I had a problem with the episode 2 weeks ago. It was widescreen for 2 seconds then went to full screen until after the second commercial. Then stayed widescreen for the rest. I believe it was a problem with my local CW station, since I have an antenna and get my TV over the airwaves.

OP, I remember that on one occasion last season, that happened to me. It only happened that one time. It was probably just a fluke on the part of someone at your local CW affiliate.
