I think we're finally starting to see Jimmy becoming Clark's (Superman's) pal. I liked the interaction between him, Jimmy and MM towards the end. You could see how Jimmy is already becoming Superman's cheerleader before Superman even shows up.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Jimmy scenes too tonight..I liked him in this eppy...He was great! And I like the Jimmy/Clark scenes too...It was all really good tonight :)

Clark, MM, and Jimmy's scene in the DP nailed it home for me. I sat there thinking, this Jimmy is actually cool, and can definitely be Superman's pal. Jimmy was good tonight, he seemed realistic and had boundaries. This is the way Jimmy needs to be written, not as a spy, not as a jealous angsty boyfriend, but as a nice, friendly, slightly dorky, good guy who knows that Supes is out there for good and is willing to spread the message.

I definately agree. I want the writers to show that even if Chloe and Jimmy are no longer dating, Clark and Jimmy will still become friends. Jimmy needs to be more than just a love interest on the show, and I think the last 2 episodes have done a good job with that.

I liked him too. And I liked how he was into the Good Samaritan.

It was also really funny when Jimmy was talking to Davis and he said something about going through Chloe's contacts and checking everyone out, then saying he was just joking. I laughed at that one.

He's looking more and more to me like iconic Jimmy Olsen. I love how ecstatic he was about the "Good Samaritan". Very much like he would be with Superman, IMO.

I noticed that too. No little boy drama....he just wanted to do his job to the best of his ability.

There definitely were moments between Clark and Jimmy where I squealed a bit! :lol: It's about time those two boys played nice!

It was nice to see him in more of a standalone plot. The camera around his neck like that is such a Jimmy Olsen staple.

Yeah I really liked Jimmy's appearance tonight. While I have no major problems with Chloe and Jimmy together (aside from the obligatory relationship angst), it is a lot better that they are giving Aaron some stand alone stories for Jimmy as well. His character needed this, just as it was needed when Jimmy and Lois were working together in "Veritas" and "Descent".

I almost always love Jimmy and tonight was no exception. It was nice to see more hang time with him and CK, though Clark is somewhat nervous now with the whole "I'm going to find the hero" thing. I think that Instinct actually was pretty good for them as friends too.

I like Jimmy and Clark scenes better than Jimmy and Chloe scenes. They seemed right. I just still can't buy Chloe and Jimmy as a couple. Even the way she answered Davis' question made me think that Jimmy is not her one and only. Yeah she was concerned for Jimmy's safety when she heard the ambulance/police scanner, but she would be concerned about anyone in danger I think. Tonight Jimmy was OK from where I was sitting.

That had to be my favorite scene in the episode. It would have been a great way to end the episode. But I understand why it wasn't.

I agree that this was the first time we saw shades of "Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen". It was nice to see and really sets it up for what's coming in the comics soon...*cue ominous music*
