That scene in the very beginning where the chick get's pulled into the alley. Looked a lot like that movie Quarantine that just came out lmao.

Smallville has a tendancy to rip off scenes from movies (IE: Equilibrium in Siren).

Still loving the episode anyway though so far! lmao, just wanted to see if anyone else saw the similiarity

I don't know about that...that movie just came out and this would have already been filmed awhile ago...stupid coincidence.

That shot was hardly invented by quarantine. That's been done in monster movies for years.
I will, however, give Equilibrium in Siren.

The beginning scene honestly reminded me of X-men!!
The kids sitting in a circle talking about their powers....thats all I could think!

I was thinkin Quarantine for that part and Xman for the kids discussing powers too. And then last episode I was thinking Saw (coming out 2morrow) lol coincidences or rip offs.... oh well I like em. The episode where Lionel was kidnapped by the guy that put him through those test was DEFINITLY a huge Saw rip off tho.

Like it was already said it's a shot that's been done hundreds of times, that and Quarantine is an American interpretation of a movie called "[REC]" that came out last year.

Shots like that are taken in a lot of movies and shows when there there are scary moments.

What I thought was more like Quarantine was the camera video from the Ace of Clubs. Combined with the alley scene, I would say that this episode absolutely ripped off, except for the fact that it only just came out. So I would say no.
