Clark was beyond great this episode. He took his game to a new level. I also thought Martian Manhunter, Jimmy, and Davis did great jobs. Chloe was also good. Everyone did a great job, but Clark was the best.

I voted Davis, because Sam Witwer was fantastic tonight but I can honestly say this is the first episode where I really enjoyed every character in an episode...even Jimmy lol

They were all awesome in their own ways, but Davis, he was freaking me out. He may seem like a nice guy around Chloe, but it seems like that's it. He was just creepy around Clark and Jimmy. His and Clark's hospital scene, it looked like he wanted to rip Clark in half. Sam Witwer did an awesome job tonight. I finally feel that I know who Davis is, granted there's still more to learn. I think tonight is when we were all invited to meet him on a personal level. Darkness surrounds this man, he pretty much exuded darkness tonight.

Davis. His emotional range and the reality he's playing this darkness up is refreshing. It does seem a little "too much" in relation to the other characters rather upbeat tone though. I think he should have not had tears building in almost every scene. Just one or two would have been slightly nicer.

Clark was great, but I was really enjoying the emotional range of a male actor that hasn't really been seen on smallville before. (Despite above critique).

Davis was by far the best....Sam did an amazing job with those emotional scenes, I really felt for him tonight.

Proactive Clark was great (and is my second choice), but Davis was amazing this episode. I agree about how people can kind of connect to him. First he tried to deny it and hide it (when he went to take a shower), but then he realized that it was true and he had to confide in someone about it. I don't know, but I could feel the tension between he and Clark when he had to exonerate himself when talking to him and how he was willing to open up with Chloe about being the murderer.

Of course, I'm kinda biased. She could have spent the entire ep reading "My Pet Goat" to a bunch of 1st graders and I'd still love her.

But honestly, she showed even more depth. Here she was the older, wiser woman, looking after "her kids." Overly combantant with Clark with his accusations? Perhaps, but she has been meteor enhanced she knows first hand what they're going through.

She stood up to Clark in a wonderfully strong way. Perhaps some of her defiance was rooted in her love for him finally being known, and the realization that although "Bud blew it" she wishes it was not so.

Her underlying understanding of herself that she puts herself in "lose-lose" situations; looking out for others at the risk of herself.

Realizing she does have an uncanny attraction to Davis, someone she barely knows. She is at ease with him, so much so, we see her admit that it isn't Jimmy as her one-and-only that she's been that comfortable with, but it's "someone else" (hmmmm, who could that be?)

She is a wonderful woman, and I pray that she will not becoming prey before this all plays out....
