I think casey sees chuck as much like a younger brother.

I think it's quite clear that he likes him. In the season premiere, he told his boss how Chuck had served his country so well and shouldn't pay for it by dying. He couldn't shoot Chuck's picture and I think he would've shot him before Sarah arrived there if he didn't like Chuck.
