At the most, I think we can hope for is to See Doomsday's shadow (I'm not sure, but I think Shadows are among the easiest and cheapest of CGI effects), see a footprint or hear him.

Actually I think that what thebog1 is referencing from Rise of the Silver Surfer is Galactus isn't it?

Anyway though, no the Doomsday in the superman universe was originally written as a genetically engineered being from a very early Krypton.

thanks for all the reference. i just don´t think that we are going to see doomsday like a monster.... the same thing happened to brainiac. Of course, i can´t wait to see the performance of Davis (i don´t remember the name of the actor). James Marsters for Brainiac was an excellent choice.

Oh for sure. Doomsday will have to be quite different from the Comic version. Heck the comic version managed to take down a full blown Superman, and Clark is a long way from that yet.

I was and still am a little hesitant about Doomsday being introduced in the SV universe, purely because of what a huge presence he is/was in the comics. However, SV has been impressing me A LOT so far this season so I'm not quite as worried about it as I was! I just hope that whatever they do with him, they do it right.

I think you're right...the first MM ep, we didn't see much. The first Kara ep we didn't see much...it's always a full build up show, and two seconds at the end that we see them.

I can't remember but I know that I wouldn't mind seeing a few more people cross Clark Kent's path, like Bruce Wayne or Iron Man... Heck, even an appearance by Mystique or Magneto would be sweet. (I hope they're the same universe...) - especially with Magneto since Clark Kent's the man of steel and Magneto can control metals...

It'd also be kinda nice to see Clark take an interest in talking to Dax-Ur. He spoke to Kara a lot about what Krypton was like but when he met Dax-Ur, it was more like a 'hi and bye' kind of a thing, without him ever giving him a second glance. I'd just think he'd go out of his way to befriend Dax-Ur since he's only the third (or fourth) Kryptonian to not be psycho. (Kara, Kent, Rya, Dax-Ur). I know we all believe he's dead but it'd be nice if Clark Kent would find that out in 'On-Screen's-ville'.

Oh, and it'd be nice if they would bring up the cave paintings again... it was a better part of 2-4 seasons, with Lex being though the enemy he'd have to fight and it was brought up last season when Jimmy referenced the sacrifice symbol to Chloe... now that Lex is gone, has it all been a waste to plot-line it and the caves and etc...?

There's lots...but most have a group that they would stick to...ie, Batman's villans are Joker, Penguin, Two-Face, Bane, Riddler....ect. They wouldn't really interact with Superman. One of the many reasons for the FOTW eps from early seasons, they wanted to add something new and different (just turned out to be overkilled).

I am not sure how they are going to reference to the caves in this episode. One thing I am curious about is that "The Cave" was the portal to "The Fortress", and Clark still has the Octagonal disk (I think) through he might contact Jor-el to find out the next location to re-build "The Fortress".

- smallville just keeps getting better and better .
there's a pretty good chance there will be a season 9 .
and i hope they bring all those characters in = )

If they do a S9, which I'm on the fence on whether I want it or not, I would like for them to introduce some of them as well in S9. And they could also try to expand the DP by getting Perry White back, and introducing some people like Cat Grant.
