My favorite Smallville episode so far

Whatever changes the writers have made this season, its working. This episode was everything this show should be:

- Clark and Lois working together to solve a problem
- Defining the relationships of the characters (finally no more loose ends)
- Clark using his powers along with his brain to help instead of being led around
- Giving more depth to other characters like Oliver Queen and Tess

Best episode I've ever seen. Shows like this are why I watch. Awesome job by the entire cast :)

i thought last season was solid, but the show was getting a little stale after 7 years. bringing Ollie on full time, a great new character in Mercy, and of course Lois and Clark have totally reinvigorated it.

I've loved the entire series, warts and all, but this season is a whole new ballgame. As much as I love SV, I'm ready for this to be the final season. It's time to bring it all together. What say next season the entire cast stars in "Metropolis"???? The tale of Superman's debut to the world....heck, I'd watch :)

i agree..although i was saying after the new direction i was hoping for season 9 cause that would be a bit more realistic. ideally though you are right, it seems like the beginning of what should be a whole new series. i'll be sad when it ends.

Last year I was fed up with Smallville, and couldn't think of a new season.

Now with such an amazing season 8. I am ready for a season 9.

I wish they would be daring and rename the series Metropolis. I would love for the show to start focusing solely on Clark and his abilities in the new city while slowly emerging into his Superman persona and his romance with Lois.
