Why the hell didn't we have these new writers for Season 8, three seasons ago?!?!?!?! :(

I sure hope this isn't the last season and if it is, then I hope Season 8 makes the most of this much welcomed breath of fresh air. There's a feeling of progression now, whereas for 3+ seasons the show was dead still.

Loved Clark and Lois in this episode.

Oh, don't be depressed...Be happy! The season is happening right now and it's great! :D

As lois once said 'buck up, skippy' ;)

Yeah I guess so! Better to be happy we have this fantastic season, then if it had ended with that most 'out of character' moment from Lex to have a somewhat nicer ending for Michael's exit.

Ah well, I can't wait for the next episode. Smallville is back on track and kicking ass!!

Its okay, I was depressed too, but I'm just happy because they have finally arrived! I am very sure there will be a Season Nine, and I'll be hoping for it to be confirmed sometime after the first ten episodes, because I need more news on Season Nine!

I remember not so long ago before season 8 when I felt like I was in the minority because I wanted a season 9 and now it seems many have seen the light and I find myself now in the majority. Funny how a good season can change minds. Bring on S9 and more.

yeah and i was one of those who didnt want a season 9 but now i have seen the light.
