I suspected for a bit that his father might be a government agent, like in some other versions, but I really liked the spin they put on his "family secret." Chloe's reaction just made the scene perfect. His "Guys like me/girls like you" line was heart-breaking.

I was expecting more to be honest. It built it up then his whole guys like me thing seemed a bit lame when it was only about that.

Oh, I was so there! I thought he was going to tell Chloe that he was Julian Luthor. j/k. The confession made Jimmy Olsen more three-dimensional and endearing to me. I think they need to expand on the Jimmy and Clark friendship.

I wasn't worried about what he was going to confess. I am worried that Chloe is still keeping her Brainiac infection a secret from Jimmy. This could be their downfall in the future.

^^ Don't you know ?? Chloe is keeping that surprise to come out during her wedding vows :) !!!

She can't really tell him because there is no safe way to tell him about the brainiac infection. First he knows she was a meteor infected who could heal, now he has seen a lot of strange things, but one thing he has never seen is a meteor infected person who changes their power. Suddenly she isn't a healer but a super genius? So trying to explain it to him as another meteor infection might not work so well. Then the truth would be worse, telling him she was attacked by an AI from the planet Krypton and now she is like a super computer because of it might not go over so well. So as of now how can she even attempt to explain it.

All about Clark

Jimmy already sees Chloe as super smart and for me that's enough, because there's no way to explain the Braniac infection without telling him Clark's secret.

I was so relieved reality bled in. I was afraid that he was *gasp* also a meteor freak, or his dad hunted meteor freaks, or some other out of this world never came up before plot. This was a realistic and touching twist.

I though it did alot to explain Jimmy's trust issues, for that alone I really liked it. But I was nervous when he said "I'm not who you think I am."

So was I... I was like oh god what are the producers doing now? but then it was something that made sense, fit his characterization perfectly and explained why he had that dower look in the begining of the episode. I was worried that was more Clark fear, but no... it was about his dad. Happy day, and at the same time very sad, very real. So way to go PS3. You really shocked me with how well you could do something like this episode in general and you made me love Jimmy even more! :D

They actually seem to be doing that... I mean the whole Maxim thing, Jimmy was rather amazingly cool with Clark after finding that letter. Some guys would take that out on Clark... but Jimmy was open and nice, and Clark tried to cover for him... it was all very good, plus with Clark being so nice about the Chimmy relationship and being so wonderfully supportive it seems natural that the two would continue to bond a little through the wedding preps.

I thought that Jimmy was going to confess that he was the person who ended up putting Chloe in "DDS Custody" in Arctic because of his lies about Lex. I figured that he felt bad about doing that and he wanted to let Chloe know about it before it comes up again, but I guess they probably discussed it in Offscreenville (probably shortly after the events of Odyssey).

But I'm also glad that they wrote it like that and I too have gained a bit more respect for Jimmy Olsen.

I'm glad Jimmy had this discussion. Finally something about his past and character. Jimmy is used too often as a peice of love triangle instead of as his own character.

I think that was Eric Summer's father from Season 1 who was an agent. Jimmy never really mentioned his parents on the show (and I never really paid attention to that until Thursday night).

i totally agree! the scene tonight was so sad. :( i really wish though chloe would tell him about her "brainiac" encounter. he deserves her, and vice versa, IMO.

the story he told really made me re-think his character, a LOT.

^I really thought that psycho would ask Chloe if she were hiding anything from Jimmy. I thought the Brainiac stuff would come up too. Ah well.

I liked Jimmy's confession also.

LOL! The Julian Luthor confession would become sort of like the end of "Spartacus."

I'm Julian Luthor! No I'm Julian Luthor! No... I'M JULIAN LUTHOR! :rotfl:

Chloe: Love has given us wings, and our journey begins today. Jimmy Olsen, wherever the wind may carry me (and it may carry me to some very strange places now that Brainiac a supercomputer from space has somehow taken away my healing powers and downloaded himself into my brain), I will stay by your side as your wife. [grins]
Take this ring as a sign of my faith and my commitment to our love.

I really liked that Jimmy's secret was a 'regular' problem, something that can happen to anyone in real life and not some kind of freakish, sci-fi thing. He’s a normal guy with real issues.

When Jimmy said, "I'm not who you think I am," I started hearing the superman music in my head and got scared.

Not because of jimmy, but because I was hearing music in my head. ;)

Jimmy: Chloe... I'm not who you think I am.
Chloe: The knot in my stomach tells me this isn't you embracing your inner Nietzsche.
Jimmy: I'm Tina Greer. (transforms)
Chloe: Why didn't you tell me sooner, Tina?
Tina: Girls like me don't end up with girls like you Chloe.
Chloe: True. [Transforms into Brainiac] They end up with hot supercomputers from space.

Well at leats we know Jimmy actually has story to tell Exactly, there's more to Jimmy than meets the eye apparently. And it fits one of the main themes this season - double identities.
