Season 4 was probably my favorite season, or maybe 3 its hard to say tbh

But yeah, "Run" was definitely my favorite episode, and that last scene is easily the best of the entire series for me.

I think its ****ing ridiculous that they didn't have bart on more, the guy who plays him is great.

My favorite episode will always be "Run"! I've always liked the Flash and this episode has always stuck in my memory.

My second favorite episode is Onyx it brought out the true villain of the story!

Here are some of my favorites :

- Shattered : Still my favorite ep
- Rogue : Probably one of the most underrated eps of the series, if not the most underrated.
- Leech : Clark really resembled Superman in this episode. He was completely selfless and put the needs of others ahead of his own well being. Plus the best line - "I'd stop people like you" when Eric asks him what he would do with powers.
- Covenant : My favorite finale
- Run : Such an outstanding ending with Clark/Bart racing and a great ep overall
- Pilot : Episode that started it all
- Transference : My favorite storyline (Lionel with powers). Plus, TW and JG nailed the acting
- Exile : My favorite premiere
- Insurgence : Leap of faith, Lex standing alone with Metropolis in the background "I'm not afraid of tomorrow" playing, and the storyline of the episode.
- Rosetta : Clark learning about his origins, CR on Smallville, etc..
- Tempest : My favorite cliffhanger. The epitome of "sometimes simple is better".
- Vortex : Really underrated. Great tornado sequence, and Clark saying he felt like flight. Plus the end with Coldplay's "In My Place" playing over the camera panning down on the ship in the field was BEAUTIFUL.
- Red : Pure entertainment
- Prodigal : Awesome look at the Luthor family hierarchy
- Talisman : Great look at the Naman/Zigeeth storyline. Lex talking about Zigeeth being the true hero is outstanding and JK's speech about Clark choosing his own destiny is one of my favorite moments of the series.
- Apocalypse : Great AU episode
- Descent : The birth of Lex the villain. The scene with Clark/Lex staring off at each other over Lionel's grave gives me chills
- Identity : Just an outstanding ep overall. The profile shot of the suit with Clark seeing the people's reaction is one of my favorite moments. Plus, one of the few eps that Jimmy really shined in.

And still is the one when the FLash showed up. I will never forget the ending, rascal Flatts music playing and CK trying to catch up to Flash. I saw CK having fun for a second and not under any substances or meteor. Just sheer joy.

All the love stuff with Lana/Chloe/Lois just lost me. I wish there was more focus on how much CK is a loser and a spoiled person, how he makes awful judgement calls and is fast to drop everything...just because of a girl. I thought that was a bad message for young men out there. SOmetimes, you have to use your brain and think for your actions. In the end the show was a success given how long it lasted, however it was a huge failure and for anyone trying to write shows, this was a major WHAT NOT TO DO.

Me too! I love RUN! I'm glad I found someone who agrees with me! In fact, I've been rewatching the series from the beginning. Next up my DVD? Run. Gonna watch it again tonight. Bart is the best guest star Smallville has ever had.

I am guessing by the amount people complain about filler that Run wouldn't be liked that much. To me Run is the pure definition of "filler"

Even though I think Season 4 was not so great, mine will always be, Transference.

Season 4 was outstanding. And so was Transference.

I am not saying I didn't like Run, I am saying that if there ever was an episode that defined "filler" it's Run. I personally have 0 issues with "filler".

I have too many favorite episodes to list but the one scene that forever stood out was the last scene in vengeance... Clark walks in and sees a video of him and his dad on the tractor.....the only scene in Smallville that brought a tear to my eye:o

The episode where Clark is sick and Chloe reads her love letter.

I loved AM, and ED (and MR) but Chloe was a better match for Clark than either KK or ED. With just Chloe to guide him, no dopey love for LL or flirting with ED, he'd've been in costume by season six and met Darkeid somewhere the other side of Jupiter.

By season: (Just a handful of episodes I liked in each season - not necessarily in order of preference)

Season 1: Stray (loved Ryan as a guest star. He's one of the best they've ever had), Cool (my guilty pleasure. No particular reason for liking it other than I just do.)

Season 2: Ryan (see above), Skinwalker (loved the Kwatche Caves storyline), Insurgence (high energy episode set in Metropolis - loved the super jump), Suspect (great murder mystery-style episode), Rosetta (absolutely awesome way to incorporate Christopher Reeve), Accelerate (love episodes which incorporate super speed)

Season 3: Perry (another great guest appearance), Crisis (I love time travel stories), Talisman (again, the Kwatche Caves storyline)

Season 4: Crusade (best opening episode of any season - loved the stones of knowledge arc), Run (my favorite episode of the series. Bart Allen rocks), Transference (just a great concept for an episode. Kind of like Leech from season 1, but with a more sinister trade partner than Eric Summers), Jinx (loved the football stuff from season 4 and Mikhail was another quality guest), Sacred (an underrated episode for sure - loved the stones of knowledge stuff in this episode), Commencement (great bookend episode with Crusade. A wonderful way to end a wonderful season of Smallville)

Season 5: Aqua (I love it when they incorporate DC heroes into the show), Lexmas (great alternate reality show), Fragile (another guilty pleasure episode. No particular reason for liking it other than I just do)

Season 6: Arrow (the introduction of Green Arrow), Rage (good Oliver episode), Justice (probably the best of season 6. The first time we see all the heroes working together), Promise (Lana FINALLY learns Clark's secret)

Season 7: Descent (the death of Lionel Luthor), Quest (probably the most underrated episode of the series - LOVE the treasure-hunting feel of this episode. Loved how the orb was there all along, right in the mansion with Lex)

Season 8: Instinct (Maxima is yet another cool guest), Identity (the first real attempt by Clark to create an alter ego)

Season 9: Kandor (Clark gets to briefly meet his biological father, not just a voice), Pandora (Lois's visit to the future is explained)

Season 10: Booster, Finale part 2 (not going to include that wedding mess as one of my favorites but part 2 was awesome)

I love the introduction Quadrilogy of Lois Lane in S4. Lois shows up. Clark flies. Clex is fixed one last time. Dean Winchester is a nice guy. Lois takes a shower with Clark. :p "Smallville" and arm punch is introduced. Even before the pilot Clark's sense of right/wrong was activated when the jocks mistreated Scabby Abby.

I actually like quite a lot of episodes of S4.
