When Tess tells Ollie that she grew up, it reminded me of Lex telling Clark that same line. I'm not sure which season or episode, but Lex did express that same thought. She said that Ollie left when things were getting interesting. It seems as if the parallel the writers are setting up is as follows: Ollie leaving Tess pushes her to the Dark side as Clark leaving Lex pushed him to the Dark side. Ollie now knows to put her on his radar screen. She lost her innocent and compasionate side like Lex lost little Alexander. The good guy sharing responsibility for the Villain and in turn, making it his sacred task to protect everyone from him. What do you think ?

Someone else mentioned a connection like this, but cheating on someone and them walking in on you is a lot worse than keeping your deepest secret from you, lol.

Lex said he grew up, to Kara in Fracture about what happened between him and Clark.

Sorry, but I can't agree Lex went to the dark side because of Clark. Lex was already on his way before he met Clark because of his father, Lionel.

It is very funny, but yeah Clark was the one who changed Lex.

:Dwell whatever, I think Tess showed as a real b**ch, and Ollie was very naive to think their night together was for real, because Tess works as Lex´s right hand, and also she´s in charge of all his dirty bussiness, and nobody that works for Lex is a good person.

Regardless of your interpretation of how Lex descended into darkness, the situation is different in Tess and Oliver's case IMO. Tess had that sense of compassion, but she barely showed it except for when she was on the island with Oliver. That one night with Ollie didn't allow Tess to change into an evil character or lose that good side of her, it only proved that she can't trust people like him.

If Oliver didn't have Tess on his radar before this episode, then I'd say that he was very naive. It's good to seek the good in a person, but he also can't be completely oblivious to the facts.

:eek:Tess compassive?:lol:that made me laugh.
remember that Tess works for Lex, she´s in charge of all his bussinesses, including Belle Reeve where Lex has experimented with meteor freaks and other inocent people, and Tess is completely aware of it, the difference is that Tess is more sutil and manipultes everybody, expectin Lois who doesn´t like her.
but Tess is as evil as Lex, you better read Tess (Mercy) description in comics.;)

IMO Tess is a vindictive and absent of compassion. having your boyfriend cheat on you is not grounds to turn into a conniving powerbroker and criminal. she also seems to have forgotten she would not even be alive if not for Oliver. in the end she's just a mean, power hungry *****..and she's a great addition to the show..haha

Of course she would say the same thing, she was groomed and brainwashed by Lex into being a bad copy of himself in case something should happen to him! She is really starting to grade my nerves´, especially after this episode!
I know she is supposed to be evil and any cind of civility towards Oliver is thus out of the quesion, but this act she is pulling is completly off! She isn't Lex, and she should stop trying to be, and so far I haven't bought the tuff lady gig from her! Lois or Chloe seem much stronger! So the writers need to do some work on Tess, cos she is still to rough around the edges!

Tess: When I grow UP! I wanna be famous! I wanna be a star! I wanna rule Luthorcorp.

If you don't get the joke, shame on you. If you do get the joke... shame on you.

- it really sucks when people change by their mentality .
Lex changed because of Lionel into a negative way ,
and when Lionel became GOOD , it was too late for Lex . = (
.. Tess changed because of Lex .
We know Lex won't be good , but it's too late for her romance with OLLIE . = D
WOOOO !
cause i hate Tess and Ollie ! = D
- but if she really liked him ,
SHE SHOULD NOT BE SO HEARTLESS .
Lollie for life <3 , tess and oliver NEVER COMPARED !

i know .
in fact , i think Clark helped him be better for a few years .
sure , it may not have stopped Lex's change ,
but it sure stalled it . ( y )
- change is inevitable though , ( n )
