I was proposing a theory that many would've come to eventually, so please back off. She can control the computers in the Isis Foundation. This was proven in Toxic, and pretty much again when she was controlling the screensaver in the background when she was asking where Jimmy wanted to go for their honeymoon. Thus, it's likely that she controlled the machine in order to spare his feelings. That's all I'm saying. It's a possibility

I'm so happy. I was feeling down about Chimmy after "Instinct" and even before that I knew that Chloe's feelings for Jimmy were not cut and dry with Clark and lately Davis in the mix... so... I needed this episode. Chloe had a lot to think about and she thought about it and... This episode satisfied me with secrets and lies psycho (in oh so subtle smallville style - ha!) and the lovely Chlo-Lo scene at the end.

So I'm on cloud 9. I'm going to enjoy this euphoria while it lasts. :D

ETA: I'm watching again and Jimmy got Chloe her ring. :D It led to them being kidnapped by psycho secrets and lies hater but... Jimmy promised to get Chloe another ring later when he proposed.

She doesn't have any power that can move things with her mind, and as far as I know she can't control the electrical impulses in her body, or her heart rate. Plus, I really doubt the majority of the audience were thinking "hey, she somehow cheated the machine there". It's a tiny little percent of people who were thinking that could happen. So if PS3 are planning a big reveal that nothing from episodes 1-11 concerning Chloe will have been true because she was controlled by brainiac, it will be the least believable thing ever on this show. She has the ability Brainiac had, his ability to "communicate/understand" computers. That's all. They haven't hinted at any other way that Brainiac has anything to do with Chloe's choices or feelings.

Because:
1. She didn't want to say the wrong answer and get Jimmy hurt by their assailant.
2. She didn't want to say the wrong answer and hurt Jimmy herself.
3. She was still unsure if all of her feelings are completely gone for Clark.

I'm just trying to be insightful, but these are just my opinions.

This is an insightful theory. After all, it was Chloe who largely trumps Brainiac's plans with Clark- see her throwing Krytonite at the Fortress and KO'ing Brainiac. She was the only one who spotted that it wasn't Clark and guided him to the right conclusions- while Pretty Pink Princess wanted to go to France or something.

I thought the Chloe/Jimmy scenes were very sober. Much more sober than they've been in the past. I like that there was more of Chloe reaching out to Jimmy and Chloe declaring her love. If Chimmy was going to continue, it was time for Chloe to start speaking up about it.

Lie detector psycho was goofy fun for me. I just saw it as a direct answer to all the complaining about secrets and lies. I guess my only regret is that he wasn't completely successful. Davis knows more about Chloe's brainiac than Jimmy does.

So the door isn't completely closed on Chimmy angst OR a possible Jimmy/Chloe/Davis triangle. Chloe and Jimmy still are not completely out of the woods as far as the wedding is concerned. I'm still holding on to my hope that they can work things out.

Oh man. Chloe smiled some gorgeous smiles during the first scene. That cake! :D

Would rather she be gone (and take Jimmy with her) than marry Jimmy. If I'm not mistaken, Jimmy isn't married when Clark first meets Jimmy. Yes?

I cannot fathom Chloe's demise at all, and can't scream loud enough to AlMiles to give her the honor she deserves. Dang, there's too many of us Chloe worshippers for them to do that to us. I've fantasized about her going to Gotham and working either on a paper there, or working for Bruce Wayne; or for her to end up as Catwoman (she is a purr kitten, after all), or just plain being happy with her job, life, and sharing that happiness with those around her, not having her fade away permanently. Oh, and with those fuzzy handcuffs, I fantasize about her in other ways, too :D

Don't you think Chloe smiles widely every time Jimmy's in her sight? I love seeing Chloe smile :D

That's the first thing that sold me on Chimmy. Happy Chloe.

If it doesn't work out between Chloe and Jimmy I really hope they do something special with Chloe. I DON'T want to see Chloe die or fade away either.
