Looks like Lois was channeling some of the anti-Chimmy fans tonight. Too bad she doesn't know that a lot of them hate her.

So to the anti-Chimmy fans out there, did Lois' little speech (before Clark pulled her down) make you happy? Perhaps raised Lois a little bit in your mind?

Tell us what you think!

This was HANDS DOWN my FAVORITE EPISODE EVER. I LOVED it. I wasn't sure how they were going to handle the awkwardness between Lois and Clark but I LOVED it. Lois took the game to the next level. AWESOME.

I never post here either, but I had to add my voice in case any writers from the show read these.

Thank god they nailed it.

They were too funny. This was the best episode ever. I hope Lois is in every episode.

It was funny when Clark cringed because he thought he was getting shocked. And how he seemed upset when Lois lied about taking the sensor off her finger.

Performance anxiety! That was too cute, when Clark hesitated to put the ring on her finger.

LOL @ the part where Clark was cringing.. I was laughing so hard, Clark was hilarious there. He did seem upset about the sensor thing, but I think he quickly realized she was lieing. Clark being hesitant was so funny. Then when he actually put the ring on her, he slid it on so fast, and Lois was like 'slow down boy'.

I've had my reservations about Clois...but tonight, was just perfect. They had their snark...but in a flirty way. I think thats why I didnt care for last week...it was much too serious. This is how I always want to see them!! :)

I loved Lois waking up at the Kents...
When she asked Clark to marry her..
I cant remember what they said...but their pet names in the jewelry store!!
Of course...Lois admitting she loves him, which was beautifully done...

But by far...the elevator scene. Not only did Clark use a typical Superman phrase "Statistically the safest way to travel" but it didnt play out how I thought it would at all! I honestly thought Lois was going to say "of course I love you smallville...you're a good friend." But then....BDA clark.....gave her an escape! Without even realizing it!!!

Ok...now....dont get too excited, but if more episodes look like this...i could be enclined to jump on the Clois band wagon. ;)

Okay so who actually believes Lois was lying about being in love with Clark? He looked so sad at the end when she said that. So messed up on her part...

abbaspice1
10-16-2008, 07:25 PM
When the baddy asked Lois if she cheated on Clark, she said no. But the lie detector showed that she lied.

If lie detector measures heart-rates etc., why would she feel like she cheated on Clark?

And if she did have a fling, who was it with?

And most importantly...why wasn't it with me?!?!

6-Super-Man -5

That was very awkward, and when Lois said she slipped the lie detector off her finger before she said she loved Clark, I was wondering... was she telling the truth, or did she not slip it off and she was telling the truth.

Everything about the Clois tonight was just pure awesomeness. Drunken Lois is so hilarious. Not to mention hungover Lois. From Lois waking up in Clark's old football jersey...SQUEEEEE!!!:D (sorry just saying that makes me do crazy things. I never thought I'd utter those words...at least not his season;)) to the glances and denial in the elevator it was so unbelievably fantastic I think I had to pinch myself to make sure I was watching the same show. And let's not forget the best part...

She, Lois Lane, admitted to that she was in LOVE with Clark Kent!!! My face really hurts now. I can't stop smiling. This episode was for all the Clois fans.:D

It is not that cheated, but the fact that they were not engaged. The guy's question was if she ever cheated on her fiance, and she doesn't have one, so her answer was a lie because she is not engaged. The non-engaged part is the lie.

I think its just the fact that Lois new she and clark were lying about the whole thing...so when he asked "have you cheated on her fiance" her heart and brain probably went into overdrive...thinking "What fiance! This is all an act!" Which..obviously you cant control your hearts reaction...thats the point.

AWESOME EPISODE! Maybe my favorite Smallville episode everrr!!!

There were so many amazing Clois moments:

-Lois in Clark's Jersey
-The phone message with Lois saying Clark was the "sweetest guy she ever meant."
-Their nicknames: Pumpkin, Muffin, Poodle!
-Lois saying she loved Clark. Erica was beyond amazing in that scene.
-The final elevator scene.

I know there were more scenes but my mind is overloaded with excitement right now!!!:D:D:D

I posted this elsewhere but it bears repeating.

God, I really really REALLY loved that scene where she had to confess her feelings. Being asked three times and you can TELL she doesn't want to do it but she knows he'll be hurt if she doesn't. And then her face crumples and she lets out that little "Yes" with the sob and it's just...*sniffle*

That scene was perfect. Absolutely perfect. And you know if it would have shocked HER she'd have lied and dealt with it, but with Clark being the one to be hurt by it, she just couldn't do it. Even though it clearly tore her apart inside to have to tell the truth.

Totally true. And I too think that Clark looked sad at the end, but of course SHE doesn't know that he's developing feelings for her! As far as she knows, she's on that dinghy all by herself, it's taking on water, and all she's got is one little pail with a hole in it! She's going down faster than Johnny Deep in the beginning of Pirates of the Caribbean!

It was either going to be "I was totally lying, Clark!" or "LOOK! FLYING PIGGIES FLOATING AROUND ELVIS'S HEAD!" as she ran away.

they asked if she cheated on her fiance maybe she cheated in the past on someone she was engaged to? just because we haven't seen all of lois' exs doesn't mean she wasn't ever engaged she did say never trust the promises of a ten year old during her toast maybe she was talking about herself and not chloe. Maybe she was engaged or even married once before(if so I hope it was wes or someone like him that we know lois cared about and not some other crappy relationship they are gonna make happen in the past to make lois look more like lana).

In that moment the assumption was that they were a couple, and Lois has indeed been with a ton of other guys so she got Clark shocked.

I think its just the fact that Lois new she and clark were lying about the whole thing...so when he asked "have you cheated on her fiance" her heart and brain probably went into overdrive...thinking "What fiance! This is all an act!" Which..obviously you cant control your hearts reaction...thats the point.

i was thinking the exact same thing...

Im uessing because they're supposed to be engaged and she's saying she's never slept with another man..but she has.

or maybe she was thinking of Olliver and she feels as if she's cheating on him with clark when he said have you cheated on your "fiance?"

eas

No..I dont think she slipped it off. If she had, she would have ran up to Clark at the DP and said something like "And the Oscar goes to...Lois Lane!!" Not trying to avoid him. Clark unknowingly gave her an out and she ran with it.

Yeah, that's what happened. When he started with "you lied..." then she realized that she could take that option.

But the interesting thing is that he wasn't prepared for her to agree with him. He used that line as an opening (because she was so uncomfortable) and, then, he didn't believe her. And I thought it was amazing that Clark pushed her... he's usually the King of Denial... and it was like he didn't WANT to her to deny it.

He says, "Yeah, but it worked the first time. You know, when you electrocuted me." Meaning - hey, if you could lie about it, then why'd you hurt me the first time?

And she goes, "EXACTLY!" and then realizes that she has to come up with a cover that's plausible. The look he gives her, though -- man, I melted. The way Clark behaved!! This is the most I've seen Welling emote since "Transference" or Red-K episodes.

That was just an incredible scene, and an amazing performance by Erica.

They both were concerned about each other there, *sigh*

ITA, Clark was just using the "so...you're an awesome liar" as a cover. He knew fully well its hard to beat a lie detector test...especially when she couldnt a minute earlier. So he was prepared for her to admitt she loved him. But of course...the BDA gave in too soon. I'm pretty sure I would have questioned Lois's answer...wondering "Then why have you been avoiding me...the Lois I know would have been gloating about her amazing side step!" But Clark just accepts it and walks away...

Honestly, I thought he pushed her as much as he could. Even the amount he did was so much more than he's ever done... he clearly wanted to understand exactly how Lois felt about him and he wasn't going to let her off that easy. But, at the same time, she became pretty convincing as she got more and more into her lie. His expressions, though, made it pretty clear that he wasn't happy with what she was saying.

And, then, Lois does turn it around and say, "Don't let your ego think anything more..." (interesting, because she said the same thing in "Toxic") and then HE started lying to her that he totally wasn't doing that.

What I loved about that scene was how MATURE Clark was.... he sought Lois out, because he knew she'd been avoiding him. When she tried to continue to do so, he wouldn't let her. Then, when she brought it up, he didn't just brush aside the topic -- he forced her to actually talk about it and explain her actions. And, when he realized what she was saying, he says (almost like he's thinking out loud) "Wait, so you were lying?" and - at the end - he actually looks a little... well... almost scared. When she says that he should imagine where they would be if HE'D said the truth... and he kind of has a look that says, "Well, I don't know, because you'd know how I feel and what will THAT do?"

LOIS LOVES CLARK!!! IT'S FINALLY IN THE OPEN!!!

I know, I was shocked! She didn't Lie! But at the end, I was disapointed that she told Clark she lied and he... believed it! I think he was relieved to hear that in a way. Cause he's not sure if he feels the same, because he's still getting over Lana.

At first...he was kind of smug I think...trying to get Lois to fess up. Then when Lois manages to lie her way out of it...he's clearly disappointed. I dont think he ever thought Lois just "beat the test..." So he was trying to get the truth out of her..but through his questioning she was able to wiggle her way out. Which...Clark wasnt expecting at all, and he was clearly disappointed.

Then...the end....was the best! Lois said something like "Wonder where we would be if you got answer..." and the look on his face was "yea...where would we be?" :rotfl:

they asked if she cheated on her fiance maybe she cheated in the past on someone she was engaged to? just because we haven't seen all of lois' exs doesn't mean she wasn't ever engaged she did say never trust the promises of a ten year old during her toast maybe she was talking about herself and not chloe. Maybe she was engaged or even married once before(if so I hope it was wes or someone like him that we know lois cared about and not some other crappy relationship they are gonna make happen in the past to make lois look more like lana).

Okay, It's hard to be enaged when you come on a show at the age of 18 or 19. Maybe, she was in love with a guy before she came to smallville and somehow ended up breaking his heart by cheating on him? I'd like to learn more about her life before she came to Smallville.

the fact that she avoided clark ,
the fact that Clark knew she was avoiding Clark ,

the way she said " we make a good team " ,
the way Clark's face went when he took in what he would have answered to the guy ,

I think the point was that she WAS lying because they weren't really a couple.

The question pre-supposes that they're a couple & Lois knew that. The lie detector picked up that she's lying, because she WAS lying - he's not her fiance, so therefore, she's lying when she says she never cheated on her fiance.

It's a technicality... but if it has to do with heart rate and all that jazz, then I guess it works.

Yeah, I know... I just can't get over that. In the past, he's been in these sorts of situations with Chloe, Lana, etc. and he's always let the other girl brush it off without an argument. (Vessel kiss, etc.) But, this time, he manned up... he wasn't going to let Lois get away with it.

I've written Clois fics like this and my favorite ones to read are the ones who write a confident Clark Kent -- but, honestly, this is one of the few times I've seen him so confident and in control when he's NOT on Red-K.

I loved it.

I don't think it was about her feelings... it was a straight forward question: "Have you ever cheated on your fiance?" And since she doesn't have a fiance, either response would be a lie. If she said, "yes", it's a lie. If she said, "no", it's a lie. Because she doesn't have a fiance.

Wow, really? Thanks :)

Well, I am a happy, happy Clark fan tonight. He was magnficent. Smart, resourceful, snarky, sweet, caring....on and on. Really, he was everything I want him to be, and that I hoped he'd eventually come to be on this show. Tom Welling is doing such an amazing job, I'm so happy for him. I just wish people could give up the "BDA" thing *sigh* Even when the character is written amazingly, and is shown to be capable and smart, he still gets that crap.

But, enough about that...

And speaking of good performances, ED was so great. I'll be honest, I had a few minor quibbles along the way with Lois. I'm not crazy that they continue to associate her with the drinking thing, and she did act like a jerk at Chloe's engagement party. But I really did enjoy seeing her apologetic at the end, and getting to hear her voice her concerns for Chloe, and also talking about her own vulnerable state. And her waking up at the Kent farm, in Clark's football jersey was awesome.

I enjoyed most of the Clois banter, except for one line that rubbed me completely wrong. I'll get over it, but I'd really prefer we dropped references to Clark being a useless, bumbling copyboy.

I thought ED was great in that torture scene, and the way she revealed her feelings was so well done. And I loved how Clark flinched, expecting to be shocked, and then his expression when he wasn't. It was just very well done. I don't know how I feel about Lois being in love with Clark already, though I'm perfectly fine with her falling a bit faster first. But I have to say that if this is the direction they want to go in, they did a great job with it.

And I adored the elevator scene. Aside from the obviousness of ED standing on a box so she could be almost eye level with TW, everything about the scene was very well done.

So, in summation, I liked it. I'm on board with what they're doing so far, with only a few minor quibbles here and there. I think ED and TW are doing a smashing job with the material, and they are very entertaining together. As long as they keep writing them in this way, hold down the angst, and resist the urge to push it too far, I think it will be very successful for the show. Just as long as Lois isn't too mean to my Clark ;)

Some places some people still get married at 17-18 so its possible she was engaged at one time before she came to smallville maybe she broke it off with whoever when she came to smallville plus it was clear back in 6:21 prototype that she and wes had a somewhat serious past and I will choose to beleave that they chould have been engaged to eachother at one time since lois was really broken up about wes in prototype even more so then we saw when "grant" died who she was supposed to be dating.

I think Clark realized a little that Miss Lois was lying, hopefully, cause if CLark thinks back, he was the one to help Lois get free from the chair, so he would have seen the sensor, which was still on her finger as we all know. Also, I loved how Clark said five couples, cause there were 3 couples at the start, then Chloe & Jimmy (which make 4), then lovley Clois (which make #5), hmmm....Wow, I just loved all the scenes! I agree with you... except for the mild mannered copy boy comment... I took that to be a direct reference to Clark's future persona. It was just an anvil and I took it as such.

I also thought, "Oh she's on a box" in the elevator scene.

Also, I saw Lois as being drunk just being the only way for her to get those feelings regarding Chloe/Jimmy out there. The only way she was going to be honest with her cousin was if she had no control over her tongue.

I really liked how the episode flowed... it was well written and - for the most part - well directed. No major plot-holes and moments where they dropped the ball in the thread. It was tightly knit -- it made sense that Clark was with Lois at the Talon apartment, because he dropped her off (she didn't have her car) and then - at the end - Clark finds out where Clark is through Chloe/Jimmy.... and when he gets there, Lois is still concerned about Chloe & Jimmy, because she doesn't know that they're OK.

I just can't believe that Clark believed that she lied. Why wouldn't she just tell the truth like he was telling her to? She would just say no and that would be that like he expected. No need to slip off the detector and THEN "lie" and say yes with all that emotion. Does that make sense to anyone? I'm still a little delerious from how awesome this episode was so I may not be making sense :P

Clark had to 'act' believing because he wasn't going to call her out on such an awkward topic between them whilst stuck in an elevator lol. I think (by their facial expressions) that they both were relieved and disappointed by each other's responses. It was good tension build up imo.

I think they were using Lois to voice the feelings of non-Chimmy fans, to be honest.

I didn't think it was that bad, though I do admit to some Lois-bias. Drinking doesn't bother me as long as they don't turn Lois into an alchy, because 'I' drink, when I can afford it.

Majority of my friends do as well, especially when we are out all having a good time together.

But putting that aside (just had to speak my peace)

I LOVE Clark Kent this season. Every. Single. Episode. This. Season. I cannot tell you how happy that makes me and the PS3 get major kudos from me for that. I also think the writing is better and more adult. That is not to say that there aren't still plot holes but even if there are some things I'm not keen on (I'm really trying to feel the Chimmy chemistry but I just don't) it isn't because the writing isn't there.

The performances from the actors are also improved. So what it could be is that there is some better writing but also that what would have been seen as bad writing before doesn't come across as such because the acting picks up the slack.

Tonight's episode had a wonderful mix of serious and light hearted moments.

I really LOVE the scene where Lois woke up in Clark's jersey. And I gotta say, no one quite looked as good in it as Erica Durance did. Dayum! Now that I've picked my jaw up off the floor . .

Like Instinct I was really feeling chemistry between Lois and Clark tonight. Definitely not one sided. He took care of her when she got toasted and didn't seem to mind one bit. He was incredibly sweet in that regard and I loved the voice message Lois left Chloe, lol.

I still wouldn't say that are IN love with eachother, and I am sure that they do love eachother so Lois wasn't lying there, but that extra little step, I don't know. But that's alright because I wouldn't want it to be a fly by affair. No pun intended.

My mother even noticed an extra romantic tinge to their scenes together. Pulling probably one of the cutest lines my mom has ever said in her little sing songy voice 'someone's got a crush'

The scene with Oliver in the store was priceless. :P

In the elevator I think both of them were more than willing to sidestep this whole 'thing' they have between them. Clark even offered her an out which she gladly took but then looked disappointed when she DID take that out. "In or out?" Such a loaded question. ;) But there was some awkwardness there to be sure but they handled it the way I would've expected.

I bring the 'just Lois' side in, but I loved me some Clark tonight.

He continues to be pro-active, and does a lot of his own footwork now. Superman has no side-kick, but Clark Kent DOES have a partner. One Miss Lois Lane. I love how they are working together but there is still the rivalry of who comes at the puzzle in the best way and of course both of them think THEIR way is the best way. ;)

I really liked how Clark knew Lois was avoiding him and I don't think it was an accident that he showed up at the elevator at the same time Lois was there.

I agree Gmx, because it would of been arkward and they both are probably scared. Clark is the type of guy to not make anyone uncomfortable.

I don't think it was about her feelings... it was a straight forward question: "Have you ever cheated on your fiance?" And since she doesn't have a fiance, either response would be a lie. If she said, "yes", it's a lie. If she said, "no", it's a lie. Because she doesn't have a fiance.

That is my thought as well, in fact I brought that up in the Clois thread before. Because she doesn't have a fiance she couldn't cheat or not cheat on her fiance because she doesn't have one.

One of my favorites has to be in the jewlers...

Lois calling Clark poodle...and telling the jewler "he has performance anxiety.."
Then Clark just shoves the ring on her finger!!!

Exactly...she was caught in a lie (she knows she has no fiance) and she had no way of controlling her heart/pulse rate...so it registered that anxiety.

Just watched the episode 3 major things I noticed with clois

1. He was trying to hide how much he liked lois in the handcuffs.

2. He realized he's in love with her right at the end of the episode

3. hello iconic much? He's in love with her and he thinks she's not. The look of longing, pining on his face says it all. Classic mythos poking its head in. She's got a big fat juicy wall up hiding her feelings and his are starting to pour out.

[QUOTE=TaraLittle;4075098]WAIT! I think Clark realized a little that Miss Lois was lying, hopefully, cause if CLark thinks back, he was the one to help Lois get free from the chair, so he would have seen the sensor, which was still on her finger as we all know.

I don't think it matters as much as whether or not he knows she was lying. Deep down he knows, but the manner in which she came back up to reclaim their status-quo (Respectful banter) level of relationship was what really struck and impressed him. He realized that she wasn't a Lana or (yes, I'll say it) Chloe who will let their feelings overpower them and leave nothing else to the relationship except them loving Clark. She is far to interesting and powerful a person to let that happen. I think he notices that about her and REALLY starts to dig it.

A lot of this episode was genuine relationship growth too, instead of just anvils. The only particularly anvilicious thing I noticed was from the jeweler telling Lois that the ring was a perfect fit and even that fit into the episode as normal dialogue.

Also I loved the bit of Movie!Clark that SV!Clark had, talking about safety statistics when they were in the elevator. "It's still the safest way to travel." I had a good giggle over that and said "Hey I know that man, that's Clark Kent!"

I agree 110%. I think that's exactly what they did. It was risky, but it was effectively and cautiously tread and the followthrough (At episode end in Lois and Chlimmy scenes) left Lois' character well developed and not slighted for it, as well as strengthening Chlimmy.

Lois basically tells him that if he was asked "do you love Lois" he would have failed when trying to convince the jewler

I have to respectfully disagree a bit. I don't think he realizes he's in love with her. I think that, at the end, he's freaked out by Lois's comment about what HE would have said. It almost seemed like he hadn't given it much thought... until she pointed it out. And, then, he's like... "Wait... what... what does she mean? Would I have lied? If I lied would it have been 'yes' or 'no'... what's going on....?"

I do think that he was very interested in getting to the bottom of whether or not Lois loved him... but he's definitely not ready to admit or discuss his feelings, yet. Partly because I think he doesn't know them.

But... he loves her. Is he IN love with her? I don't think so... but no man treats Lois the way he did at the engagement party, then at his house all night long, and then at the end when he's so concerned about her... he wouldn't do all of that if he didn't love her.

the way I saw it, clark was given the idea that if he was left to answer the question he would have failed, he, nods and laughs but then thinks "hey wait a minute what if I was...then its as if he actually realizes that he wouldnt have failed because he loves her" enter the look of longing and pining because he thinks its not returned. classic suprman mytho IMO

That's a really good point. See, the way I see it, it's almost like him pushing Lois in this episode was a direct reaction to what happened in the last episode. It's like he decided that he wasn't going to make the same mistakes with Lois that he made with Chloe. So, like, here's his best friend -- she says she loves him under threat of torture... so, he's going, "Hhmm... is it true? We HAVE to talk about this. I'm not going to let her sweep it under the rug." And, then, what happens? She convincingly tells him a story that makes it more than plausible that she WAS lying and that she doesn't love him.

So, now, he's even more confused. He'd psyched himself up to deal with Lois's feelings and now it turns out that she doesn't have them! Well yeah, and it has to be because I thought this is potentially the last season and we'll be really lucky if we get another one. But beyond that, this is Lois' love for Clark BEFORE Superman. Once Superman enters the picture, it COMPLETELY changes the dynamic and Lois goes off to loving him and Clark gets pushed aside.

Well, I wrote a fan-fic about this... it includes some spoilers so I won't get into details... and I actually had him acting VERY much like this in my fic.

I think that it's more than plausible that in "Bride" he's confronting Lois about her feelings or opening up about his - in a confident and awesome way - when they are dancing. It could be that he's THIS close to sealing the deal, when Lana interupts. Right now, Lois's denial and him not being ready is what kept Lois and Clark apart. At that point, it'll be Lana coming back. I think they'll keep coming up with reasons to keep Clark and Lois from getting together, but I do think that Clark will always be like this with her.

I think the writers know Clois has to be the end product...and bringing it on too soon would be a mistake....so we'll get looks...and confessed feelings that hint at more....but sadly it will all just be a way to drag us along until the finish line. lol ok, I say he's in love mainly because of the cliche music and the way his face went from...wondering how he feels about Lois to...understanding how he feels, then to a sort of sadness because he feels its not returned. Basically what he did there was ask himself the question "do i love lois?"...the look said yes IMO

If Lois already loves him I cant see how its so unbelievable that clark now realizes he loves her. After all Erica did say that they realize it at seperate times,,IMO that was it for clark because when Erica revealed that bit of info...no episodes after commited had been shot I think..so it must have happened(to clark) somewhere within these early episodes for her to know about it.

I just rewatched the elevator scene...I have no words...It was just such a well done scene...'Are you in or out' talk about a loaded question...And the end I really don't know what to make of Clark's reaction...I'm not sure how to categorize it exactly..I think it's a good thing, from a purely shipper based POV...But I'm not sure what to make of it exactly...

I'm so glad you caught that too Kaitlyn! I tell ya...if I forget to mention something I notice I know you'll be there to back me up!

I remember thinking..."wow...thats the million dollar question." Then the way Lois backs away and Clark wont take no for an answer...I think that could be forshadowing things to come. ;)

Lois will always find a reason to run, but clark wont let her get far.

I understand that AndiGirl, and I believe you...but please believe me when I tell you that I know so many Clark fans who are really bothered by the term, and the frequency that people use it. Its not endearing, its not nice, and its most definitely used quite frequently as a putdown and insult.

I can only ask...what people choose to do after that is up to them.

I don't know how often I've used that, but ya know . . .

mmm.

Tom Welling isn't my type but I think the fact that he's so Supermanly this season is making me see him in a different light.

Cause' he's been looking pretty good to me lately. I love men's dress shirts too. Why do you think I liked Oliver so much? Was it the bare chest? Nope, it was those sexy shirts he always had. ;)

But Lois does look better in those shirts, preferably with a lot of leg.
I almost died when she was Clark's jersey. In a good way.

The Clois is a lot more friendly this season and romantically tinged, that's for sure. I might disagree on the level of love that is between them right now, but I don't disagree that there IS a level of love.

Yeah, a Cloiser, a couple actually, in the Clois thread said they wanted Clark to chase Lois and he did in Instinct and here again in a manner of speaking, not letting Lois avoid him forever.

I really don't think it was an accident that he caught up to her at the elevator. As pro active as he has been this season? I think Clark meant to catch up to her because he wasn't going to let her keeping running away.

I thought that too! I like that in a way, even if it wasn't romantic, Clark fights for her..He didn't take 'no' for an answer and he didn't let her avoid what happened, though ultimately that back fired on him big time..He never should've have given her a way out, rookie mistake:p...

I'm so loving Clark this season..He really seems to have grown up :)...I love that he took care of drunk Lois and didn't really seem to mind...In fact he was rather amused by her and really couldn't wait to tell her about all of her drunken antics the next day! :D:lol:

I dont think it was a mistake either. He new she was obviously going upstairs...and she would have to ride up....and in an elevator theres nowhere to go. Perfect opportunity!

But good old Lois...she fights until the end "actually....the stairs are better cardio!"

Oh my Eas....you may make me read my first Clois fanfic!!! That sounds brilliant! I can see it playing out that way for sure.

I think the writers know Clois has to be the end product...and bringing it on too soon would be a mistake....so we'll get looks...and confessed feelings that hint at more....but sadly it will all just be a way to drag us along until the finish line. But atleast we know that lights at the end of the tunnel for them. :)

Trust me, Andi, if you're going to go into Clois fanfic, eas's stuff is the way to go! PHENOMENAL stuff she writes! (I haven't read her latest fic yet because I've been swamped, but it's totally my treat to myself when I finish cleaning my apartment and packing to go out of town.)

you know, I sort of got the feeling that when Lois told Clark about the whole, "where we would be at if you had answered", it was like a way of saying that since Lois is a little bit more sure of her feelings for Clark now, she's just waiting to see if he feels the same way, so if he said that he loved her and meant it, she would probably be more confident in pursuing something with him.

Clois was simply delicious. I'm on a Clois high and the contented sighs are flowing out of me. It was so much fun. Lois was so vulnerable during the torture scene. I was AFRAID to see what would happen after commercial. The elevator scene was JUST RIGHT. The writer really took a risk with Lois' admission of love... and then handled it well in the elevator. Tom Welling really sold the elevator scene. LOL! Both Tom and Erica were just fantastic.

Jimmy: "I'm not who you think I am .. I'm really my brother .. my twin brother .. I'm Iceman!"

Man..i love this season! Clark and Lois relationship is awesome! Now i want season 9..lol..although i doubt it will happen.

Best Line of the night....

Oliver(asking whether Clark and Lois were really getting married): "Are You serious"?

Clark: "I'm afraid so":lol:..i nearly lost it when he said that.

Of course Lois was lying at the end, but she can't lie to herself...the writers did that very well though, because it is still too early for Lois to be going there full fledged. I think what you'll start to see a bit more of now, particularly after the look on Clark's face after the last scene, is Clark start to discover his feelings for Lois a bit more.

Great episode.:)

So while rewatching this episode (again) I realized that, and this may just be me with my Clois glasses on, but Clark seems to really enjoy taking care of Lois..I dunno, like at the engagement party where he saves her from further embarrassing herself and putting a damper on the party, or how he took care of her when she was drunk 'holding her hair' probably laughing at her antics, at the end when he asks her if she's OK and she says 'I don't know' and he says he better get her out of there...I mean I think Clark, generally is a very caring person and he likes taking care of/helping people (obviously LOL)...But I think he might get a little extra kick out of taking care of Lois because she's always so independent and 'I can do it myself!' again I will totally confess to having my shipper glasses on..But that's what I saw. happy sigh.

Can I join in this Clois heaven???

Only if all episodes of SV were like this! FINALLY!! Some quality TV! We got it all from romance, action, mystery, and comedy...

ALL THAT IN ONE EPISODE! "Committed" is the BEST EPISODE OF THE SERIES!!! Hahah.. okok maybe going a little too far but still...

I agree with all who think that Clark is STARTING to realize his feelings for Lois. The way he takes care of her is enough to show that he has gone from just a "good friend/partner at work" to "I am not going to let her drive home alone drunk. I want to be by her side when she's hung over. I want to take care of her and watch over her." And lastly, "I am more than just physically attracted to her.. "

The look on his face when Lois slips the handcuffs on her wrists said, "Woah...need to get my mind out of the gutter!"

Anyway, I love PS3 and what they're doing with Clois! So many people were freaking out about how they think the Lois was falling too fast for Clark but I think that this progression has NOT been fast. I mean really, THERE IS NO TIME LIMIT TO FALLING IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE! Come on, how long have they known each other?

I think Lois knows that she loves Clark but she doesn't know to what extremes yet. She knows she loves him as a little more than a friend but she doesn't want to get into it because she's afraid of commitment and she also doesn't want to be Clark's rebound after Lana.

But that's the beauty in romance, people. Strap in, because I for one am not missing this ride!

Also, Did anyone else notice the "you got changed by your self, you were in the middle of the kitchen for like an hour"

HELLO was he watching her? how did he know just how long and exactly WHERE in the kitchen she was getting changed?

if not, Clark is becoming VERY aware of Lois especially when it comes to situations where he'd be attracted to her, he was obviously very focused on the getting changed part

individuall

I don't think he was watching her...He probably just gave her the jersey when they were in the kitchen thinking that she'd go upstairs to change and instead started stripping in front of him in the kitchen and he, being the super human gentleman he is, left to give her privacy...And then she didn't emerge for like an hour LOL.

3. hello iconic much? He's in love with her and he thinks she's not. The look of longing, pining on his face says it all. Classic mythos poking its head in. She's got a big fat juicy wall up hiding her feelings and his are starting to pour out.

I'm kinda surprised you think that... but hmm... I dunno..

Not necessarily. We don't know how they'll handle it. She could be truly in love with Clark by season's end and accept that. If that happened, I don't think she'd turn away from that and fall in love with somoene else.

Anyways, I have a hard time believing Lois wouldn't know it's Clark when Supes makes his first appearance.

very pesimistic and wrong side talking. We know Clark´s guilt trip face, we´ve seen them more than enough to spot it a mile away, plus the score playing in the back (the sort of Superman movie one), that´s a dead giveaway for me that it was not a guilt trip but meant as a hint, its not the first, nor second time its been used for a Clois scene that hints towards their future relationship.

So talented of an actress. So fun, so funny, and so beautiful. It has been a pleasure watching her grow in her craft over the years. This season she's nailed it. Everything you would love about Lois, she has it down to a tee. She's mastered the character. Brava Erica.

And Clark.. I know she was drunk and all but.. HOW CAN YOU NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT??? Did you guys see this woman on the couch? Cream cheese on a donkey's butt, this woman gives new meaning to the words HAWT. I'd be all over that like a cheese on a whopper!
