What made you start watching Smallville...

My sister bought the first season because we like Superman and thought the idea sounded interesting. I watched the first episode and was totally hooked. I fell instantly in love with the characters and storyline. As you can imagine, I'm grateful she got it! There's not much better than becoming thoroughly obsessed with something new. :p Come to think of it, it's an obsession that's lasted years and hasn't waned yet. :D

I haven't been much of follower of the super-heroes in a sense that they were mostly created for comics and I didn't like the comic-style heroes much when I was growing up. I started liking superman because of Smallville, believe it or not. Also LnC series was awesome aswell which made me like superman even more because of the dynamic between Lois and Clark.

2. In EVERY incarnation of Superman, certain things have to happen. What is your list of those things?

3. Do you feel that fan's lack of knowledge of the mythos hurts or helps people to enjoy the show?



1. i am a life long superman fan, and i was so excited to watch Smallville because i love Clark Kent. i also excited about the clark lex friendship and how that would play out

2. clark comes from krypton where jor-el and lara were his parents, jonathon and martha kent raised him, he has strength, speed, xray and heat vision, freeze breath, super hearing, and flight, he becomes a journalist at the DP, lex luthor is rich and powerful as well as being involved in a lot of illegal goings on, lex hates superman, lois lane is a journalist at the DP, clark falls in love with lois lane, clark disguises himself as superman in a red yellow and blue suit so that he can help people, perry white is the editor of the daily planet, jimmy olsen is a photographer at the daily planet, kryptonite can kill clark, lois gets a crush on superman but doesnt think much of clark

i think that's my list... obviously when villains or other characters come into the story i have a list of things about them, but since they dont HAVE to be in every interpretation i'm leaving them out (i.e. i have a list of what they would have to include in a doomsday storyline, but they dont have to include doomsday)

3. i think that the mainstream public make the majority of the veiwers and i do think that it ruins the show for me, because what they want and what i want is so different. i want superman, they just want to be entertained as best they can.

1. I'm going to level here: I heard James Marsters was guest staring. I started trying to watch him.

2. Ummm Clark comes from Krypton. Clark grew up on earth, has super powers, learns he's an alien, starts working at the DP with Lois, and starts flying around saving the day in a cape. He falls for Lois' brassy attitude. Lois talks down to Clark, and has a crush on Superman. Superman is weak to magic and kryptonite... oh and umm Jimmy Olsen has a camera and Perry White doesn't want to be call chief.

I started watching Smallville because there was nothing else better on tv. I flipped the channels until I saw a rerun of Smallville (thinking hmm, that looks good) where Clark and Lana was caught by his parents after Lana spending the nite at the Kents (Season 5? Mortal?). I thought the couple was sooo cute together. TW was soo cute and KK was sooo cute. I saw all the Superman Movies and my favorite was when Annette OToole played Lana in Superman 3. I even thought Annette had great chemistry with Chris Reeve, I liked Clana then. I thought Clois was good but after Superman 3, I thought Clana was better. I was hoping at the end of that movies they would have made another movie with Lana in it as well.
I was never a die hard fan of the Mythos or Superman but I grew up watching the Adventures of Superman, with George Reeves. He was even on I Love Lucy in one episode. I thought Lois was a pain in the rear then too. I thought Jimmy Olsen always liked Lois but she always liked Superman and NOT Clark Kent. They never married before. The only liked Clois when Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher played Clark and Lois. I thought they had chemistry. I wish they would have made a Lana Oliver Queen stint for season 8. Making Lana working with Oliver. Afterall, who was the one that set up Isis for her???? Still didnt know who she paid for all that equipment and set up.............Never found out did we?????It was definitely NOT Lionel. She didnt even like him!
