I can buy (with a grain of salt) that a new unknown woman appears out of nowhere to lead a billion dollar company. The question I have is why is she living in Lex's house? We had many scenes over the years of Lex doing business at the mansion, but that is because he lived there. Why are the same scenes taking place at lex's house. What happened to the Luthorcorp offices? I understand that they can only have so many sets, but why did they get rid of the Luthercorp office set and keep the mansion set? We have all seen the ridiculous situation of having the characters driving back and forth from Smallville to Metropolis, why did they continue this with Tess? Lex did it because he had an attachment to Smallville, Tess does not. She would live in Metropolis. Her business meetings would happen at the Luthercorp building. I just don't get why they got rid of the Luthercorp set.

The show is called Smallville and they still need to have people shown in the town area like the Luthor mansion, Talon and the Kent farm.
