Those Clark/Maxima makeout scenes were just begging for music.

I'm really frustrated that there hasn't been any lyrical music so far this season....I mean the Superman themed music is great and all but Smallville was always known for the awesome music...I really miss that....And I agree that the Clark/Maxima scene was begging for music! PLEASE BRING BACK THE TUNES!!! :D

The music over the final Clark/Lois scene was amazing.

It's more Cinematic than Sappy Teen Angsty. I like it better this season

There is another thread entitled 'Smallville's Budget' and talking about how it appears it may not be as much as it used to be. Maybe that is the reason why there hasn't been any premiere songs featured in any of the episodes yet - they don't want to pay to use them?

I dunno - thoughts?

The music playing at the Ace of Clubs was the same that was played in season 7, "Sleeper".
Although I don't know the name of it :(

I think I'm one of the few who prefer this season NOT to have lyrical songs. This is a Superman show now. There were hardly any songs(if any) in Superman movies.

Yeah, but Smallville is the best show on television when it comes to choosing music, IMO. But this season there is none :(

Ditto. It sounded a little 80s, and I'm not convinced it was the best music for that scene, but I really liked it nonetheless.
