According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS has added Twilight actor Kellan Lutz to the backdoor pilot of upcoming FBI spinoff FBI: Most Wanted. He’ll be playing Crosby, an Army intel veteran and communications whiz whom team leader Jess has taken under his wing.
From series creator Dick Wolf and Law & Order executive producer Rene Balcer, FBI: Most Wanted will follow the division of the FBI tasked with tracking and capturing the notorious criminals on the FBI’s Most Wanted list.
Should FBI: Most Wanted go to series, it would be Lutz’s second series regular television role following The Comeback. He’s previously appeared on The CW’s 90210 reboot, 30 Rock, and Generation Kill. He joins a cast that includes Julian McMahon (Charmed) and Alana de la Garza (Forever).
Set to air as an episode of the mothership series this spring, FBI: Most Wanted is one of eight drama pilots ordered by CBS thus far. It joins legal drama Courthouse; X-Files-esque Evil; Frankenstein, a procedural about a homicide detective brought back to life after being killed in the line of duty; female Chief of Police drama Nancy; Republic of Sarah, centering on a small New Hampshire town that attempts to become its own independent nation; NSA drama Surveillance, which stars Sophia Bush; and medical drama Under the Bridge.
