TNT's Falling Skies Cast Promotional Images

TNT’s new alien-invasion drama, Falling Skies, will have its two-hour series premiere on Sunday, June 19 at 9PM. The highly-anticipated series is executive produced by Steven Spielberg and stars Noah Wyle of ER and The Librarian fame.

Here’s how TNT describes the series:

After an all-out invasion of the planet by an alien military force, ordinary people must do extraordinary things to survive in TNT’s powerful new drama series from DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven Spielberg. Noah Wyle (ER) stars in the drama, which opens in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldiers work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force. Wyle plays Tom Mason, a Boston history professor whose family has been torn apart. Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation) co-stars as Anne Glass, a pediatrician who works with the surviving children; Will Patton (Armageddon, TNT’s Into the West) plays a fierce leader of the resistance, Weaver; and Drew Roy (Secretariat) plays Mason’s eldest son and fellow resistance fighter, Hal. The series also stars Sarah Sanguine Carter (Shark), Colin Cunningham (Living in Your Car), Seychelle Gabriel (Weeds), Connor Jessup (The Saddle Club), Maxim Knight (Brothers & Sisters), Mpho Koaho (Rookie Blue) and Peter Shinkoda (The L Word).

FALLING SKIES is executive-produced by Steven Spielberg, along with DreamWorks Television heads Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, Graham Yost (Justified, The Pacific) and screenwriter Robert Rodat. Rodat, who earned an Oscar® nomination for his screenplay for Saving Private Ryan, wrote the pilot from an idea he co-conceived with Spielberg. Mark Verheiden (Heroes, Battlestar Galactica) and Greg Beeman (Heroes, Smallville) are co-executive producers.

TNT has released some cast photos from the series – a group of photos which in addition to a really nice full cast shot, also includes individual images of Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Sarah Carter (Smallville’s Alicia!) and Drew Roy.
