Annie Clark joined Degrassi in the show’s ninth season as half of an affluent sister-and-brother duo that were the children of diplomats. In the years since, her character, Fiona, has dropped the “…and Declan,” no longer is Holly J’s sidekick, and has gone through quite a few changes, including alcoholism, discovery and acceptance of being a lesbian, and more.
Annie was one of the four actors to attend the “Party With Degrassi” event in Los Angeles earlier this week in anticipation of the show’s February 20 premiere on Teen Nick. We’re rolling out interviews once a day leading to the 20th, when we will [hopefully] be able to post some video.

Fiona’s now back from rehab and about to start a new year returning to Degrassi. What can you tell us about her return?
Fiona’s back, and she’s just excited to have a completely new start at Degrassi. She’s trying to kind of reinvent herself. She has a new look going on, with straighter hair, and since Holly J has graduated, she’s trying to make some new friends.
Is she going to be seeing Charlie at all, anymore? [Charlie was Fiona's love interest for much of the previous season]
You never know with Degrassi, but she actually gets a new love interest this season, so that’s something you have to see.
Jordan Todosey mentioned that Adam is going to have a new secret admirer. Is there any chance Fiona might be that secret admirer?
It’s pretty slim. I don’t want to tease the fans too much. I’m going to say that as we know it right now, “Fadam” is a no-go, but Degrassi loves to bring up old relationships and things like that. We would like that, but I don’t know.
Is there any chance Declan might come back from the past?
Oh, we wish. But I think he’s a little busy on Terra Nova, but if he were to even come back for, like, a cameo, we would just love that.
What do you think of being here in Los Angeles for the first part of the Degrassi Party tour?
Oh, I love it. This is my second time being in L.A. as well. It’s so cool to be here, working this time, because last time I came as a tourist, just hoping to come here for work sometime. So, it’s so exciting.
