ABC has ordered FBI procedural Deception and family comedy Splitting Up Together to series.
From Chris Fedak (Chuck), Deception follows superstar magician Cameron Black (Jack Cutmore-Scott), who is forced to work with the FBI once his career gets decimated by scandal. Black uses his skills with illusion and influence to help the government catch the world’s most elusive criminals while staging the biggest illusions of his career.
In addition to Cutmore-Scott, Deception stars Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break), Lenora Crichlow (Being Human), and Vinnie Jones (Galavant).
From Emily Kapnek (Suburgatory), Splitting Up Together follows a married couple whose relationship is reignited by their divorce. The series, based on a Danish format, stars Jenna Fischer (The Office), Oliver Hudson (Nashville), Bobby Lee (MADtv), and Diane Farr (Rescue Me).
Deception joins a slate of new dramas for ABC that includes immigration saga The Crossing, Shonda-goes-legal For the People, religious tale The Gospel of Kevin, and Kyra Sedgwick vehicle Ten Days in the Valley.
Splitting Up Together is one of only three new comedies ordered to series by ABC for next season, joining musical workplace comedy The Mayor and an untitled comedy starring Zach Braff as a guy who starts a podcast.
ABC will be unveiling its plans for next season on Tuesday, May 16th. You can check out what KSiteTV thought their schedule could look like here.
