USA has released the first trailer for upcoming period drama Damnation and in it, we see the beginnings of a class war that could consume a small community.
From Tony Tost (Longmire), Damnation tells the story of Seth Davenport (Killian Scott), a man pretending to be a small-town preacher in Iowa. He hopes to begin stoking the fires of insurrection against the repressive status quo that smothers the town, but his hopes at revolution are quelled by the presence of professional strikebreaker Creeley Turner (Logan Marshall-Green), a man bound and determined to stop the uprising by any means necessary.
In addition to Scott and Marshall-Green, Damnation stars Zach McGowan (Black Sails), Gabriel Mann (Revenge), Christopher Heyerdahl (Van Helsing), Melinda Page Hamilton (Rectify), and Sarah Jones (Alcatraz). The series joins a scripted slate for USA that includes Queen of the South, Colony, and Playing House.
Damnation is set to premiere this October on USA. A more concrete premiere date should be announced in the coming weeks.
