The CW has provided KSiteTV with an exclusive first look at Tom Cavanagh as Pariah from the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover which will go through five of their shows in December and January.
The all-star event — which features such highlights as the return of Smallville’s Tom Welling and Erica Durance, Brandon Routh reprising his role as Superman yet again, the first crossover between Black Lightning and the “Arrowverse,” and even Burt Ward will probably be the largest event The CW has aired to date… so it’ll be a big deal.
Tom Cavanagh has been a part of the Arrowverse family from the very first episode of The Flash back in 2013, where he played the first version we met of scientist Harrison Wells, whose identity was taken by the future’s Eobard Thawne. Since then Cavanagh has played dozens of incarnations of Wells, most notably Earth-2’s “Harry,” the eccentric “H.R.,” and the possibly even more eccentric “Sherloque Wells.”
The character of Pariah was also a great scientist from his version of Earth when he was first introduced in the very first issue of the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic book back in 1985, as created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. His experiments lead to the destruction of his own Earth by the being known as the Anti-Monitor, and ultimately with the Anti-Monitor’s good counterpart, The Monitor (played in last year’s TV crossover by LaMonica Garrett), Pariah was forced to watch every Earth’s destruction. He is one of the most pivotal characters in the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic book.
