There's a reason Castiel is called a "fan favorite" by sites and critics across the web, and it's not a conspiracy as the handful of his haters seem to think. Castiel is truly loved by the huge majority of Supernatural viewers. It's the reason he hasn't been written out of the show yet. And if he is eventually written out it won't be because a negligible number of people don't like him, but because, like Bobby's death, the story requires it.

If Misha and Cas haden't been fan favoourites his arc would have ended 6 episods after it started which was how it was initially written, also he's the reason many people started watching/ were brought back into the fandom

Agree love the casting already. Cassidy was superb in Supernatural, Melrose Place and Gossip Girl so there will definitely be no disappointment here in Arrow!

I wondered at first, why the CW over ABC? But I think Kristin, plus all the cast of Smallville, are very into privacy and not becoming a "celebrity" type. It seems like that on Smallville and alot of other CW shows they get the right publicity from the network and entertainment outlets, but they don't get overexposed bc their privacy is still intact. And I agree with the other comments about ABC pulling the plug early, too. It just makes me respect them and her so much more. I hope this pilot works out. Can't wait to see Kristin back on the CW!

Disney owns ABC and Disney wants ABC to carry the show. It's a family show that if it works could reach a greater audience and larger age group. Also, better to work for Disney, and rub elbows with their big guys at parties and become a part of that company than any other. If she really had that opportunity and instead chose to play in a remake of the very odd 80's tv show, a combo of crime tv + a romance with a guy who looks like a cat, who lives in sewers, she may have made a bigger mistake than leaving Smallville, and playing Chun Li. If you have a shot at working with Disney, take it.

I REALLY wish you'd stop calling Misha Collins a fan favorite, many of us actively disliked Castiel and were happy to see his arc end. So no not a fan favorite for many who've been watching this show since day 1. Not even in the top 10 favorites for me.

Transference was always one of those episodes I felt was underrated. It changed the series completely by what happened to Lionel after this episode.

Nick, thanks for pointing out all those other great episodes. I think the most underrated episode was Labyrinth. I think I had my mouth open the whole time. Tom Welling really showed his ability to act. It was nothing less than incredible. I have to be straight. I, and quite a few other fans, were not happy about the Lana/ Clark rekindle in Season 8. I feel it degraded the relationship and chemistry that was beginning to happen between Clark and Lois. I wouldn't have had any problem with Lana still wanting a relationship with Clark. but it would have been much better to me if the writers used that time to show that Lois WAS the love of his life. Instead, it made her a very second fiddle. And they never did resolve how we quickly rebounded to Lois, but at that point, the writers had successfully killed the chemistry between those two. Lana in the comics was not the love of Clark's life, Lois was. It looked like the only reason Clark and Lana broke up was because she became a Krytonite magnet. Where were the women when this plot line was written? I once dated a man who told me he wanted to get married, but the woman had left him. I was definitely second fiddle, and had to bow out of that. The writers invalidated the authenticity of Clark and Lois relationship, and while they had they eventually get lovey dovey, it was never the same as the excellent sexual tension they had built up to the almost first kiss at Chloe's wedding.
