Only a day after it was announced that NBC might be doing a revival of Murder, She Wrote, Vulture reported today that CBS is going to the TV vault to resurrect Charmed.
Vulture’s report noted that Party of Five co-creator Chris Keyser and partner Sydney Sidner are co-writing what is described as a “re-imagining” of Charmed, the series about three (well, four) sisterly witches. The original series starred Shannen Doherty, Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, and Rose McGowan. Since it’s described as a “re-imagining,” it could possibly be assumed that this would feature an all-new cast.

Witches are hot on TV these days, with Witches of East End, American Horror Story: Coven, and other series taking up real estate on the TV landscape.
Right now, new Charmed is just at the script stages, which makes us, as fans of TV, wonder: Is it asking too much for new characters? To have other actresses playing the 3 P’s is just weird.
