The next new episode of Blue Bloods won’t air until Friday, December 9, and that’s when CBS brings us an episode called “Unbearable Loss.”

We have a description with spoilers courtesy of the network, and we now have some photos to add to this post as well. But first, the synopsis:

“Unbearable Loss” – When the son of Frank’s most outspoken critic in the African-American community, Reverend Darnell Potter (Ato Essandoh), is killed, Potter must put aside his contentious relationship with the Reagan family in order to get justice for his son. Also, Erin and Anthony investigate when a convicted felon’s cause of death is inconsistent with injuries he sustained during a prisoner transport van accident, and Jamie learns that a mugger he shot in self-defense is the son of an NYPD officer, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Dec. 9 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
