For as diametrically opposed as they’ve been the duration of the race, Slink has one thing in common with Arthur and Grace – hatred for Heart. Granted, his anger at the conglomerate stems from professional frustration, as he had the race taken from him multiple times before it was cancelled, rather than any personal vendettas or desire to make the world a better place, but their desired end game is the same; they each want Heart to pay for the trespasses it’s committed. Slink might have lied to Grace and Arthur for the duration of the race, but this common goal is enough to override that and send them hurtling toward their last adventure together.
On the season finale of Blood Drive, Slink, Arthur, and Grace set about their plan to blow up the Heart building in New York, said to be the head of the figurative snake. Even though driving right into the purview of Heart is almost certainly going to result in one of them not making it out alive, they agree that it’s worth it for the good that destroying the corporation would cause. Not only could this free the thousands of New York residents holed up in fracking tubes, it would serve as the ultimate revenge, a way to strike back in the name of Karma, Christopher, and everyone else negatively impacted by Heart’s tyranny. It could become a symbol that the populace isn’t content with living under Heart’s rule anymore, that the people are willing to do anything and everything to tear down this administration in the name of something better. But what happens if Slink, Arthur, and Grace inflict damage on Heart but don’t burn it to the ground? Could the corporation somehow survive this attack and live to terrorize another day?
The season finale of Blood Drive airs Wednesday at 10:00 on Syfy.
Can Slink, Arthur, and Grace successfully bring down Heart? Will all three be able to make it through this last adventure together alive? If they do manage to blow up Heart, could that be the end of the Blood Drive once and for all?
