Though she was unable to get concrete answers as to Karma’s whereabouts, Grace put enough pressure on Julian to get the route for the next leg of the race changed. This way, she will go right into an area that would give her the answers she’s looking for, possibly leading her straight to her sister. She might have wanted to hear everything straight from Julian, about where exactly this rehabilitation facility Karma was sent to is, what her sister would be exposed to while there, and how he’s in the 1957 Kane Hill staff photo, but Grace doesn’t care about the semantics right now; she only cares about getting to her sister, even if it means embracing the dangers that come with this rerouted leg of the race.
On the next episode of Blood Drive, Grace and Arthur set off to the Savage Land of Majora, an area inhabited by vicious Amazons that holds the key to finding Karma. Having already dealt with cannibals, an insane asylum, and a sex plague, the two aren’t intimidated by the idea of the Amazons, particularly since Arthur has gotten more in touch with his primitive side recently. However, Julian has instituted a new rule after being summoned to the network offices; if the racers even touch their brakes during this leg, their vehicles won’t be able to start for 10 minutes. When you’re in something like the Blood Drive where time is of the essence, 10 minutes can be the difference between living to see another day and having your head explode at the whim of a sadistic madman. It’s especially worrying for Grace and Arthur since they know they’re going to be busy trying to find answers about Karma, meaning that they’re going to have to be that much faster in other parts of the race in order to make up for this built-in delay. Can the two get what they need from the Amazons quickly enough that their placement in the race isn’t negatively impacted beyond repair?
Blood Drive airs Wednesdays at 10:00 on Syfy.
Will Grace and Arthur be able to get Karma’s location from the Amazons? What will it take for them to escape Majora and get back on the road to finding her? How will Slink’s latest twist to the race impact how they run?
