Freeform has released the first full length trailer for upcoming buddy comedy Alone Together and in it, we get a look at a twosome whose relationship is in a curious gray area.
Executive produced by The Lonely Island, Alone Together follows best friends Esther (Esther Povitsky) and Benji (Benji Aflalo), whose immensely close relationship sometimes gets them confused as a couple…despite the fact that they want nothing to do with one another romantically. Rather, the two outsiders are obsessed with achieving acceptance from the vain and status-oriented celebrity culture of Los Angeles, particularly if they don’t actually have to do anything to achieve it.
Alone Together joins a scripted comedy slate for Freeform that includes Baby Daddy and Young & Hungry. This will be the network’s second attempt at single camera comedy following Kevin From Work, which had a quiet first season that culminated in a 2016 cancellation.
Alone Together is set to premiere in early 2018 on Freeform.
