Michael Chiklis seems to be hedging his bets by signing on to a comedy pilot for CBS while he waits to hear word of No Ordinary Family’s fate.
Chiklis’ new series Vince Uncensored comes from Conan O’Brien’s production shingle at Warner Bros. The news was broken tonight by Deadline.com.
NOF has struggled in the ratings in recent weeks, and recently had its sets struck and its Season One order cut down to only 20 episodes. But it’s interesting that Chiklis – who is an executive producer for the show as well as starring as Jim Powell – would already be looking for something new. Often times, unless the person in question is Jordanna Spiro, an actor signing on to a new pilot is a sign that their current series is toast.
Either way, NOF is still top priority for Chiklis if ABC chooses to renew it. But things are not sounding encouraging with this news.
